There is no sound. Its ultrasound! All you need to do is give the button a quick flick and the dog stops barking and comes right to you. I use it because we are extremely rural and the ultrasound reaches 60 ft. This means I don't have to go out and look for her!
I like that it worked immediately upon use no harm to the dog which is my first concern I only have to tap the button and say no and my guy stops and redirected his attention else where.. I have an English Bulldog they can be stubborn but this works well
It works great for our dog. It also works great for our one cat that likes to chases our new kitten.
The Charkool Device has made it possible for me to train and work with a rescue, out of control GSD. No more jumping, pushing, or pulling. This is the first day I have used it. This wonderful boy sees the device and without me even using it after 2 times, calms right down. We had a wonderful 2 mile walk that was enjoyable to both of us. I highly recommend this product and the seller was very prompt and the device came well packaged.
It seems like it might be ok for certain breeds. I have a 10-month-old cane corso mix and at first, it worked really well but after a couple of weeks it didn't matter what I did when I would push the button he would just look at me and keep going. I didn't have a barking problem I had a listening problem and was hoping this would get his attention and he would focus on me and listen. So my honest opinion is I don't think it's a bad device I just don't think it was intended to do what I needed it to do and that's not the fault of the device it's just the fact that I have a young head headstrong breed. Overall the device performed as it should and I was very surprised at the battery life i think I have charged it twice since I purchased it. I think it is definitely worth a try especially for the price. Oh and it does work great if you're out walking in the neighborhood and happen to get approached by an unfamiliar dog it does detour them from coming in your direction or at least it did for me
The item is nice and fits easily in hand. The strap is an added bonus when chasing after the pup. Tried using as a training device. You must point directly at dog. The one I am attempting to train, isn't phased by it. However, another dog gets serve anxiety when using it.
I do not have a car that's why I have Walmart deliver. I am not bringing back an empty bottle that is broken. I would have to Uber there. Somebody please get a hold of me. I can send you pictures.
It's basically a glorified electric dog whistle. Good for getting your dog's attention, but don't rely on it to break bad habits without additional directive training.
For younger dogs and midlife dogs it works great. For older dogs that can't hear. Doesn't work what so ever.
Did nothing for the neighbor's dog. I was outside pointing it directly at the dog and it did absolutely nothing. The dog looked at me, barked louder, and even howled. Smh.
