I have tried many different powdered detergents including Tide Free, Nellys Soap, and Arm and Hammer. Charlie's outperforms each of these detergents. I love that you only need a Tablespoon, yes one Tablespoon, of detergent for one load (and often times I do not fill the scooper to the top). Secondly, Charlie's has no scent which is wonderful because my family has noses that can pick up any little smell! It's dissolved completely in the wash and never leaves residue on clothes. The bag lasts many months and that is with twice a day (sometimes more) laundry. When I used Powdered Tide, I would need to clean my washer with Tide laundry cleaner at least every six months (coincidence?). My washer has stayed clean using Charlie's for the past 2 years with no washing machine detergent required. Thank you for creating a great product made in the USA.

Great for odors. It can be mixed into a quart of hot water first and then added to laundry if you want to wash in cold water, otherwise it won't properly dissolve(it says the minimum temp on the package).

This soap is a very cost-effective detergent that cleans clothes well without leaving any residue or odor. It's decent at fighting stains.

I have been using Charlie's soap for over 10 years now and love it! I started using it when my kids were born and I was cloth diapering. Loving that it was fragrance free, I quickly decided to switch over to using Charlie's for all of my laundry, not just the diapers. I love that it's a powder and that I only need a small amount for each load. I love that it comes in this giant size that lasts me almost a full year! My clothes coming out with no scent at all and my family's skin is clear of any irritation that comes with using artificial fragrances. Best detergent ever!

I have been using Charlie's laundry powder for a dozen years. Keeps our clothes fresh and very clean without chemicals. I started using it as a baby laundry soap but the whole family converted. We all have sensitive skin and do not want perfumes or fragrances in our laundry. I wouldn't switch! Plus it's affordable. A little goes a long way.

hot water helps to clean even grease scum on stove to wall spashes....just watch the fingers ...a brief steamed towel soak on grease may be necessary.....I this is laudry soap but it works great on shelves and walls and concrete

I started using this soap when my son was born and he was allergic to most baby detergents. I ended up loving this because it was a soap we could use for all of our laundry—no more separating out kids clothes and adult clothes and no more allergic reaction for my son! We've continued using it for the last five years. I do sometimes use a scent-free detergent just because I think soap and detergent clean a little differently, so I like to alternate them occasionally. Also, if you want a scented “fresh laundry” smell you won't get that with this. It's really scent-free. Overall, I've enjoyed using this and will continue ordering it!
