This is the very same ice (gel) pack that my physical therapist uses after my sessions. It's large enough to wrap fully around an ankle to help reduce swelling. Of course, putting it inside a soft pillowcase first helps. The pack is soft and pliable and holds cold where it's needed well. It's a bit more expensive than others, but overall, a very good product that I highly recommend. Store it in the freezer so it's ready to go.
I've had another ice bag just like this one, for.probably 15 years. It started ripping in one end and I used glue so the stuff inside wouldn't come out. I use it often, so I started looking for a new one. Many years ago I was at a physical rehab center and all they used and recommended was ice. Although there are times I use the heating pad for my low back, I use the ice bag often. I had bought another brand elsewhere, but I feel the cover is too thick and I don't feel the ice the same. I highly recommend this particular brand of ice bag: “Chatanooga CoolPac.” They have several sizes and they're all wonderful. Look for “CoolPac.”
the ice pack holds the cold for a long time. it's also heavy which i like.. not too heavy just enough
After a total knee replacement, my husband found this cool pad easier to use and maneuver than the ice machine he was sent home with.
The Chattanooga ice pack works great. It fits around my whole thigh very neatly and secure. We just love it!
great for pain, covers large area.
Great fit. Drapes over the shoulder, covers your knee, can even be used in a cooler.
You put it in the freezer and it gets cokd
It very flexible compared to other ice packs.
This was recommended by my physical therapist - I love it!
