Lots of room in this fryer, make sure to buy the gallon size oil! It is simple to set up and cleaning is easy. I like how the cord detaches from the back. Food cooks faster and tastes better than an air fryer. Too bad deep fryers are hard to find in actual stores anymore! The box it arrived in was very beat up and no packing material inside so the fryer could jiggle around in it, but it looked like it had opened up and been retaped during shipping however that is fedex's fault. Fortunately, the fryer was not damaged.
I cook all my meals with this deep fryer. It works very well and it makes cooking more enjoyable
Works fantastic for funnel cakes
A much needed appliance in my kitchen, I used to make fish tacos in a small pot and it made a mess. With the Sherman deep fryer there's no mess and clean up is easy for us.
This is exactly what I wanted in terms of size. I haven't tried it yet, but it came in undamaged. I was worried about that after reading other posts because this fryer is so fragile. I can't wait to try it!
I thought it was pretty, and I hope it works for what I need. I haven't used it yet—I just bought it—but as soon as I do, I'll let you know what it's like.
I do recommend this model but I gave it 4 stars because I can't get the lid to position correctly because it won't allow the lid's 2 slots to fit properly over the 2 heat tubes. The slots are too small. Weird. Besides that, it works well, but after using it, I would've preferred a version that had a drain in the pan or a pan that could store the oil for the next use. It cooks well enough, though, so I'm pleased.
I returned this fryer because the oil temperature kept dropping midway through cooking, causing uneven results. The unit itself was also larger than expected and didn’t fit well on my small countertop.
Pros: good size, I can fry 4 pork chops at the same time. Cooks good. Cons: It leaks. I have to clean up grease everyday. I’ve already thrown away the box so I can’t return it.
I received a used fryer that had been returned (this was a Christmas gift). It still had the grease residue inside. Upon plugging the unit in I realized immediately why it was returned originally. This fryer will not power on. Faulty unit so I order another. Same thing. Will not turn on at all. This time I think I'm losing my mind. I contact customer service at Chefman. Oops. Looks like another faulty unit. I will never buy from this company. Complete crap. I lost money on the first. Lesson learned.
