When this first arrived, I thought it was too large as I wanted something smaller than the kettle I currently have, but the minute I turned it on, I knew I would be keeping it. The blue light is out of this world. In other words, it makes you feel as if you’ve entered the future. We laughed as my husband said it looked like a space ship. Later that night, as I walked into the darkened kitchen, it gave me the same wonderment you get when you sit and watch your Christmas tree; just beautiful. I love being able to see inside and watch the water boiling, to to mention, the cleanliness level. Better yet, since I’m a huge tea lover, I decided to order some loose tea, something I’ve wanted to do for years, so cannot wait to use the tea diffuser. Btw: heats up super quick.

I absolutely love this kettle! When you turn it on it gives this really cool blue light that shows that it's heating. At the spout is a built in filter of wire mesh. The infuser is removal and is very wide which is awesome for mountain tea and tamarind tea due to the herbs being large which really is difficult to brew with small infusion bags.

i’m always nervous about ordering things online but this tea pot is nice. i work with refugee families and many enjoy hot tea even in the summer. My office only had a coffee pot. This holds almost 2 liters and has a tea cylinder to hold the tea. sometimes clients bring tea or chai - a nice mix of green/black tea, cinnamon and cardamon. It heats the water and makes tea faster than I imagined. i like the clear glass with the auto shut off and the stainless steel design. No issues - I like it!

I think the option to make tea in this kettle is genius! I really try to stay hydrated during the summer and make tea to put in glass bottles....this was a quick way to make some without the extra heat from boiling on the stove and the clean up was a breeze. I REALLY appreciated the very good instructions included on clean up and avoiding the hard water buildup. I'm sure this will get a lot of use in the winter for oatmeal and hot cocoa - it's great how quickly the water heats up. Love it!

Handle is thick and awkward to hold but not too bad. Water takes about 10 minutes to boil on maximum level setting. Great for tea or foods like Ramen noodles but may get a little too hot for french press or "pour over" coffee makers like me. Adding a timer and a coffee temp setting around 200-208 to it would make it perfect. Love the blue light when it's on.

This came in the mail today after a long, shipping delay. I’m disappointed I can tell it’s not going to last very long. The way the infuser attaches to the bottom of the lid with tiny little plastic tabs instead of screwing in to properly threads tells me it’s going to break in no time. I’m very tempted to put it back in the box and send it back without even using it. But I waited a long time for this to arrive with all the shipping delays due to weather and Christmas.

i loved that it heated up quickly and the light was helpful for making a bottle at night. dislike that its not even a yr later and its stopped working. sucks because I use it everyday for the baby and I enjoy a good cuppa. consider buying it again because of the light but dissuaded if its only going to last 11 months.

This product has chemicals that can cause cancer or can be harmful for pregnancy. There is nothing about this issue in the listing or on the outside of the box. You find out once you open it and see the warning label on the bottom of the bottle and also in the instruction book.

The Chefman electric kettle worked fine for the first two dozen or so uses, over the course of about a month, then it suddenly stopped warming the water. A probe thermometer inserted into the water after it's auto-shutoff would top out at 145 degrees Fahrenheit, or about 70 degrees below boiling. I typically wouldn't bother with writing a review, especially on an item I purchased at Walmart, but I submitted a warranty claim on January 5 (which REQUIRED a video to be submitted with the claim.) I got an auto-response saying I'd hear back from someone with 2-3 business days. I sent a follow-up e-mail on January 12, and still haven't heard back from anyone. Appears Chefman refuses to stand behind their product.
