I had never seen anything like this but now can't imagine making popcorn without it. Planning to get rid of our air popper and just use this. It's quieter than the air popper but still provides the same benefits of the air popper (avoid microwave popcorn bag chemicals; low-fat option - although let's be honest I add melted butter anyway). This takes up less storage space than my air popper which is also a plus. It's easy to use, what a cute idea. I was provided with this product at no charge in exchange for my honest review.

This is an incredible product because it's so easy to use, even my five-year-old can whip up a batch of popcorn. It pops popcorn faster than you can say 'movie night', making it perfect for those last-minute Netflix marathons. The stylish design is the cherry on top of this popcorn-loving sundae. It looks so good, you'd want it on your countertop all the time. Trust me, your movie nights are about to get a whole lot better!

Love this fun design for easy air popped popcorn in the microwave! Do not be intimidated by the flaps, they are easily folded into the proper configuration. There are easy to follow instructions on how to fold the flaps down with the popper bowl. There is also a video produced by Chef'n on this product page. The first time I used it, I put in four tablespoons of popcorn. The flaps did open during the popping process. A total of ten kernels fell out of the bowl, five popped and five unpopped, not a big deal to clean up out of the microwave. The next time, I used three tablespoons of popcorn and only had two popped kernels to clean up. This is much easier, faster, than washing up a pot and lid. I love that the popping bowl gets warmed up in the microwave. It remains warm and keeps the popped corn warm while you are enjoying it. A plus in my book as I prefer warm popcorn to cold. In addition to the easy to follow illustrations on folding the flaps, the popcorn bowl also came with recipes for flavoring the popcorn for increased enjoyment. We followed the directions to the letter and did not have any issues with burnt kernels. We did have a few old maid/unpopped kernels in each batch. No more than when using any other method. Clean up is a snap as this as this popper is dishwasher safe. It also cleans up easily when washed by hand. I highly recommend this fun and functional popcorn popper! This popcorn popper bowl is awesome! I was nervous that it was going to make a mess in my microwave, but it didn't at all and was SO easy to use. The box shows you exactly how to add kernels and tuck the flaps in for cooking. It cooked perfectly after a few minutes in the microwave and has little tabs on the sides for you to hold when taking your bowl out of the microwave. I eat popcorn as a snack multiple times a week so I love that this is so easy to use and a healthier option over bagged microwave popcorn covered in butter. I love this popper! I really didn't think it would hold ten cups of popcorn but I put 5 tablespoons of popping corn in and set my microwave to 3 minutes. Every kernel popped, none burned and the bowl was full of popped corn. So easy! I like that the lid is designed as part of the bowl so no extra parts to keep track of. I always think of popping my own corn but get too lazy and just buy a bag. This popper will save money in the long run. I was gifted this product to test it and give an honest review. It was so easy to use, just fill with some kernels and fold the flaps down by following the directions, place in the microwave and turn it on. I was gifted this product so I could give a honest review. I have a one of these in a different brand and style and I will say this one is much better, it is more sturdy and the popcorn even tastes better!! The flaps were a little confusing at first but once you do it its no biggie and everything falls into place, and there is step by step instructions on the box with colored pictures.. The flaps have opened in the microwave and a few cornels popped out but it was not a issue and didn't happen every time I have used it. It makes a decent amount of popcorn but depending on you family and how many people you are popping for you might need to make a few trips to the microwave. Overall its a neat gadget with a cute design and works great!

So if you didn't get this popcorn popper for free like most of the 5-star reviewers, then you definitely paid too much, because it's not even worth the price of free. Even if I'd gotten it free, I still don't think I'd use it again. The flaps are annoying, as they have to be closed in a specific order or the popper won't close. Even then, there is an open space in the center where the kernels popped OUT of the popper, so I had about 5 or 6 loose kernels bouncing around inside my microwave while I tried to pop the rest of the corn. When it was about 1/3 through the popping cycle the flaps flew open! The popcorn had already popped to the point where there was a layer on top of the raw kernels keeping them from flying out, but it seemed very counter-intuitive. When it was done, the kernels were small and sad, and not at all like the same popping corn from my other popper. Like there wasn't enough pressure built up inside the kernel to make it pop properly? I guess it probably had something to do with the lack of heat retention from the open popper. WORST of all was the taste of the popcorn when it was done! It had a chemical aftertaste like the silicone somehow transferred a petroleum flavor to the popped corn. I know that's not supposed to be possible, and I washed it well before using it, so I don't know what happened. All I know is that this is quite an inferior product compared to some others on the market (including that silicone-looking bucket with a lid, that in retrospect works pretty well). I will be sending this back without a second chance. I was very disappointed, as the design looked cool and I wanted to like it, but the performance just wasn't there. Not by a mile.
