Great for a Science Fair Project
My daughter repurposed this kit for a simpler set of experiments involving the effect of environmental conditions on slime mold growth and development for an 8th Grade science fair project. While the kit did contain more petri dishes and agar than she needed, we now have a great set of supplies for future culturing experiments (and may even try and keep the P. polycephalum that was delivered--named Lenny--alive for the forseeable future via continuing transplants to new media.
