The Traverse Bay Fruit Co. Dried Blueberries are amazing. We use the Dried Blueberries in cereals, snacking, baking muffins and breads, making trail mix and in any recipe that calls for raisins. I think of all of our favorite uses, is making carrot and raisin salad but using the Dried Blueberries instead. We prefer the blueberry taste, which is rich, so good for you and full of blueberry flavor. This is the second time that we have ordered the Dried Blueberries and we will be ordering them again as they have became a staple in my pantry.
The dried blueberries from Traverse Bay are so good and fresh. They stay fresh for several months, if they last that long. I use them primarily in making scones and quick breads, but they are great for snacking too. I almost want to say they are crappy just so other people don't jump on the bandwagon with me (LOL)!!
Always happy with Sam's. We use these blueberries daily and really appropriate that Sam's Club offers them.
I had read a review that they're too small & too dry. 1) they're small because they are dehydrated blueberries so you should expect that. 2) they actually weren't dry enough for me (I was wanting to pulverize them into a powder, so I had to dry them more). They are moist & chewy like raisins. I'm actually glad they came that way because I kept some set aside for my daughter to snack on.
Thought I would try the online store and it all went easily. Arrived on time and in great shape. Would definitely do it again if not available in the Sam's Club store I frequent.
I've searched a lot online for dried blueberries and Sam's has the best price and I am pleased with the quality.
The blueberries were sweet but small so I found that soaking them for a few hours and even overnight helped plump them up. I could then use them in baked goods or on yogurt. etc.
Like the taste of these blueberris. The delivered product came as promised. Otherwise, it is too sweet with too much added sugar. I have to rinse them off in order to enjoy them.
If only 1 picture on this webpage doesn't raise any flag, try it. Attached a picture of the box that I received to help others who want to know its ingredients and nutrients before spending their hard-earned money. 1 star for Trans fat (1.25% by weight) and sugar (70% by weight) 2 stars for making it less healthy with oil and sugar (70% by weight) 4 stars for the blueberries and the cute box 0 star for blue-tinted bag and no response to some questions including mine 5 months ago: "Why packed in blue-tinted clear bag instead of colorless clear bag? Is the blue tint food grade?" The blue tint of bag makes it impossible to tell the true color of these blueberries before opening the bag. Besides, wouldn't a clear (colorless) bag be more helpful to inspect quality and encourage to consume in a timely manner before best-by date?
Just like some of the other 1 and 2 star reviews the batch I received is hard and dried up. They don't plump up in oatmeal like the ones I get at Aldi's. The ones from Aldi's are on the left in the picture, the tiny shriveled-up dried out ones on the right are the Traverse Bay from Sam's Club.
