Love it!!
This was a replacement for my original Chi straightener which lasted 11 years. It actually still works but it cracked from where I've squeezed it way to hard....for 11 years. I was in love with that straightener, and thankfully I was able to find the exact same one and it's PERFECT!

Not like old ones from 20 yrs ago, better than $20
Well, like everything else, compared to BC, quality has declined - at least comparing to my one I purchased almost two decades ago. It's definitely better than my $20 Conair flat iron I had in the meantime; however, it takes several passes to straighten. It doesn't "feel" very hot compared to my original Chi, and it snags my hair a bit. For context, I am in my 50's, colored hair, curly in front, weird wavy in back, fairly thick. It's ok, but I think I am going to try a BaByliss. It's not like I have money to be spending on another, but bought a BaByliss hairdryer the same time I bought this iron, and I was not aware how much better a dryer could be!
