Easy as 1-2-3

caggcityslicker May 14, 2018

This CHI easy steamer is as easy as 1-2-3 all you do is 1.fill water reservoir to desired level for garment and place in reservoir holder in bottom of bag. 2. Hang one garment inside bag and zip bag closed. 3. Press on button to begin. This easy steamer comes with an easy to read manual that has all you need to know about this steamer. Digging out the summer clothes this year I was so happy to have the chance to try this steamer that I received from Walmart spark review. It was so easy to get the wrinkles from the garments that have been packed away all winter. You can see from the before and after pic's this blouse was very wrinkled. 1min. In the steamer and it was just as fresh as it was the last time I wore it last summer. I have Grand children that wear uniforms to school it is so easy to just put the items in and come out fresh n looking great.

I was amazingly surprised !

tlyn57 May 8, 2018

I am a skeptical person so when I was asked to review this CHI clothes steamer I thought "Sure , no more Ironing " Well to my surprise this is Steamer is much more than I had expected it to be and actually works great ! I will begin by stating that if you have a place that you could keep it hanging up , that would be perfect because the only pro I have was getting it out of the box and hanging it over a door (I am not tall) there is a hook to hang it attached. The steamer itself is a big garment bag with a small reservoir inside the bottom of the bag that only takes a small amount of cold water to fill , once it's filled to the amount you need put the garment in the bag , zip it up , push the button and let it do its thing ! The first use will take about 30 seconds for the water to heat and then depending on what you have for a garment anywhere from less than a minute to 3 minutes to a wrinkle free garment. I say wrinkle free, but not all garments may be wrinkle free as stated in the use and care manual the steamer is made to remove wrinkles but if you want a fresh pressed look you would still need to use a regular steam iron. I say this did a great job and no steam iron needed ! This is so simple to use , just follow the directions. I tired it out on a very wrinkled scarf just to see how good this CHI Steamer would work , I put the extremely wrinkled scarf on a hanger and added the water , turned it on waited 1 minute and stopped it. I was totally surprised the scarf was wrinkle free, I could not believe my eyes. The pictures are added of when I put the scarf in and what it looked like when I took it out, unbelievable how those deep creases and wrinkles all are gone. This CHI Steamer would be great for any business person that's in a hurry and has no time to iron. I believe it would be great for touching up suits and dresses that have been wrinkled or roughed up from being stuffed in a suit case or hung in the closet. The bottom line is it really works as it states and works fast, there is no heat up time (30 seconds) for first item after that if you add more items its already heated up. One other point I will make is that you do have to refill the water reservoir if using several times in a row. I also wish that there would have been a hanger included in the garment bag , there isn't but there is a hook to hang one. I think this is one of the best items I have had the chance to review and I absolutely love it because I hate ironing ! I will point out the whole unit folds down and could be carried easily with you on business trips or vacations.

Excellent Garment Steamer

THEsaddsaxx July 27, 2018

This garment steamer is the best! It is simple and easy to use. It removes wrinkles of lightweight garments in less than two minutes, leaving the garment looking as though it was freshly pressed without the hassle of dragging out the iron and ironing board and takes up little space as it hangs vertically. The directions for use are easy to follow. It is convenient to pack in a suitcase to take with you when you travel - a must have for wrinkle removing from being packed in a suitcase and can be hung on a hook or closet rail. It is made of quality materials, and seems very durable for long-term usage. The design is simple making it easy to use anywhere. I love it!

Easy, Steamy, Beautiful Pressed Clothes Always!

Lina October 22, 2018

The CHI Easy Steam Garment Steamer is a life changing product. In less than two minutes, my clothes (button down shirts, dresses, pants, suits, etc) are pressed cleanly and ready to wear. A beautifully compact and efficient system, my clothes end up looking professionally cleaned without the steep price and inconvenience of having to always bring it to the cleaners. Instead this Easy Steam Garment Steamer can just hang in my closet and works with the ease touch of a button. It is even easy to transport for those business people constantly on the go or if you have an event that you don't want to wrinkle your outfit beforehand when sitting in a car, etc. The CHI Easy Steam Garment Steamer is one of the best investments I have made on an appliance. Perfect for everyday use, I absolutely love this product! I wrote this review as part of a contest.

Heavier than expected

BaaKra May 16, 2018

I tried out the Chi garment steamer and it's fairly easy to use. It can be hung in a hook or on a door and must be near an outlet in order to plug it in. It is not unmanageable but is heavier than expected. It is easy to fill the water cup. One garment at a time can be hung inside and then it is zipped up. It only takes a few minutes. Clothes come out presentable but it's not the same as ironing them, as would be expected. Scrubs come out ok but not immediately wearable as they are damp. Product is too large to travel with unless going by private car. I think it would be a great idea for upscale hotels to have a couple of these on hand.

Great Product

l8dluck May 16, 2018

Steamers unite! This thing is pretty awesome. So first let me say that its worth every dollar to be able to just hang your clothes and let this do the work in a matter of a few minutes. You can totally use that time to do something super important like...clean your car. Kidding. The container that you add water to has a guide for water lines that correspond to your garment. Let me just tell you the bottom line (60 seconds) did not do the job on my other shirt (not pictured) that was really really light. The shirt pictured was filled to the medium heavy line. It really did a great job at knocking the wrinkles out. The only thing I would caution you on - the longer you let the garment steam the damper the garment will feel, especially the bottom part of your garment. (Naturally, right?) So, do this the night before or at least 30 minutes before when you actually need it. Other than that - its awesome!

Nice machine

Dtkachetes May 15, 2018

This machine is nice but not the best for all fabrics. If you want cotton to be wrinkle free, don't expect this which this product. It will help with pre-ironing but this machine will not resolve the wrinkle problem. The fabric must be ironed unless it is a fabric that only need steam. Overall it's a nice machine and recommend for those individuals who have to iron a lot. This machine is also easily collapsed for storage.

Very Innovative Product!

Kitteagirl May 8, 2018

The Chi Easy Steam Garment Steamer is an innovation in steaming that is designed similarly to a carry-on garment bag. It is 29" x 17.7" and 9.1" and weighs 13.85 lbs. It can be hung anywhere that can hold 30 lbs. or more and has a hook on top for this purpose. The front of the unit has a zipper so that it opens widely to place the clothing in it. There is a removable water reservoir in the bottom of the bag. All you need to do is place your item to be steamed in the bag, zip the bag, plug in the unit, and press the "on"button. Chi provides a nice chart to suggest how long an item will need to be steamed based on the thickness of the item the type of garment. It is recommended that you steam items one at a time. It is further recommended to warm the unit for 30 seconds before using so that you are not doing a "cold start" for the item that is in the garment bag. I came across a definite number of pros and cons with this unit. PROS: 1. This convenient steaming garment bag can be hung just about anywhere. 2. This item is very simple to operate. 3. I found the time guide very useful. Do not throw away. 4. This steamer bag definitely removes the bulk of the wrinkles in a garment. 5. The water reservoir is very easy to fill. 6. The entire unit collapses down for compact storage and should be kept flat on its bottom rather than storing it on its side. 7. The steamer garment bag has a limited 2 year warranty. CONS: 1.While this unit removes most of the wrinkles in a garment, it does not give the garment that freshly pressed appearance. It seems to more "relax" the wrinkles for a casual look. 2. Items come out of the steamer bag fairly damp, so I would advise steaming your clothing the night before you plan to wear them. 3. This garment steamer cannot replace an iron. It cannot put creases in pants or sleeves. 4. This garment steamer cannot be used to steam items like drapes while they hang at the window. A hand steamer would have this feature. 5. Especially long items that are put into the bag would have to be folded over a hanger, as the bag is not long enough to handle items like pants with a 32" inseam. The steam time would have to be increased in this situation. 6. I would recommend using plastic hangers as metal hangers tend to heat up in the garment bag. 7. The way this garment steamer is designed, if the zipper on the bag were to break, the steamer would be useless. 8. After using the bag, it is necessary to dry out both the inside of the bag and the water reservoir. Then it is good to leave the bag unzipped that night until all the dampness is gone. *Personally, for me, it is easier to just quickly iron an item, and it would also be far less expensive, as this item is rather pricey. I cannot say that I would recommend this item to friends. On the other hand, if someone really hated ironing and only wore casual clothing, this might be just what they are looking for.

Only for shirts

SibGirl July 10, 2018

To use this garment steamer you need to fill water reservoir hang garment and zip it then press the only button, it will take about 2-3 minutes for one shirt to get rid of the most but not all wrinkles. What I do like about it is you can hang it anywhere in your house(well if it's close enough to the plug) back of the door or shower rod works best for it. The garment bag collapses with a hook and loop strap for easy storage, but still regular iron take less space. To store the steamer you need to leave the bag open to let it dry, otherwise after couple weeks it will smell bad. To be honest I prefer to use iron and ironing board, because with this steamer you can only hang a shirt inside, to steam pants or anything else will be a little tricky. I'll be using it for my husband shirts only, it works best with light weight fabrics. Nothing special, I would still keep my regular iron. Good thing is that it has a good warranty.

Results mixed - Not a miracle worker!

LadyDianePoeet May 18, 2018

Yes, many will say this is practically effortless. Others may well find this to be a 4-star, or even a 5-star product. It certainly seems to be made very well! But if you are disabled as I am, the work of refilling the water tank before steaming, and wiping the residual moisture out of the bag after steaming, is more than I want to do. Moreoever, the results are mixed, with the "relaxed" look being the best end-result scenario. All but the thinnest clothes come out very damp and in need of air-drying out. My small apartment has little ventilation (windows only at one end) and humidity issues, so damp clothes is not easy to deal with. I should point out that most of my clothes only need a "relaxed" look, with wrinkles to be minimized. This is true for many people! However, I find that using my lightweight travel iron with my shirt, skirt, or pants on the bed works just as well (and is much cheaper!).
