Chicago Cutlery #B144/1104670 4-Piece Walnut Tradition Steak Knife Set

I have a identical set of knives that I bought in the 1980's. The older set is still good and taking an edge, but they won't forever. I bought this set to use down the road, when I have to replace my current set. The look identical, the steel and the edges are just as nice/heavy as the older set, still very well balanced. Very pleased, highly recommended.

I've had four of these steak knives for many years. When the blade gets dull, you sharpen them. The family has grown up and we need more than four steak knives. I was thrilled to see that Walmart carried them online and we got free delivery by picking them up at our Walmart.

These are, by far, my favourite set of knives. VERY sharp so beware. Slices through a steak or fresh tomato like butter. We noticed after only a few weeks of use that everyone was using these as a 'go to' knife for paring potatoes & vegetables as well as steaks, etc.. The blade is curved just perfectly and the handles are REAL WALNUT not some version of plastic like most of my others at any cost point. They will also disappear into your husbands tackle box before long as they are great for scaling and dressing fish also. These are extremely sharp so be very careful. All of us have gotten accidental cuts,from the points mainly, while using these. LOVE THESE KNIFES

Seen the review from ATK and bought one set of 4. Absolutely love them, will order more so I have a knife for all dinner guest and getting rid of old serrated ones. This one is a keeper.

Looking for a new knife set for your home or apartment? This is the set to get, especially at a lower budget. I would like to first say that the knives come packaged just as displayed, which is a basic green packaging with the knives displayed behind plastic. It was very easy to open and take the knives out. I did a quick wash, and used them for the first time on some nice steaks I cooked up – they cut really well! Almost like cutting into butter. I've used the knives on a few occasions thus far, and I'm very happy with how they cut, and especially how they feel in my hand. The grip is pretty good, and the way the blade is shaped is also nice. One thing to consider is the blade material, which is stainless steel, but a low-grade metal, which Chicago Cutlery used to save on costs (assumption). This means, over time, the blade will become dull quicker, so make sure you have a way to sharpen the blade every month. For the price, I'd definitely recommend this knife set.

Obviously, a December order is most likely a Christmas present, so these knives have been been opened or tried. I gave 4 stars, cause they arrived on time. TBD on quality, etc. I'm very surprised I was spammed to review.
