THESE SARDINES ARE HEALTHY ADDITION TO YOUR SALAD, OR AS A SNACK. THEY ARE A EXCELLENT VALUE COMPARED TO THE MANY TIN OFFERINGS OUT THERE.MANY ARE OVERPRICED. THESE ARE REASONABLY PRICED AND GOOD QUALITY. THEY ARE A SLEEPER WHEN IT COMES TO FISH PROTEIN. TRY A TIN AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT I MEAN!!
I like these sardines. To me, they taste very bit as good as do those that are more expensive. I eat them right out of the can. They tell me these can be used in salads and more. Yes, I'm sure they can. But they do taste great right out of the can.
Chicken of the Sea Sardines in Oil, Lightly Smoked offer a highly satisfying experience. The taste is consistently good, with a rich flavor enhanced by the quality olive oil. You get excellent value for money and solid overall quality in every can. While the texture is good, I find that the sardines packed in water actually have a slightly firmer, better texture. Still, this is a delicious, healthy, and very convenient pantry staple that I highly recommend for quick meals.
I think these are great! For a spread I mix them with tuna, diced boiled eggs, with mayo and crackers. The smokey taste is good, but it's more than I want for a stand alone snack. I never use the oil in the container. I think the can needs to be larger or the price needs to be smaller...
My first time trying Sardines. I purchased a couple of flavors to try out. Unlike most smoked tinned food, this was mellow in flavor and not overwhelming. It does have a fishy smell from the tin, which I just put in a Ziploc to contain the oder while preparing my sardines. I enjoyed it more than I expected and they do fill you up when you add crackers and other ingredients. A very nice protein rich snack or lunch!
Wow! This is the first time I've had canned sardines from Chicken of the Sea. They are literally melt-in-your-mouth and don't need much seasoning. I added lemon pepper but that's it. So good.
I was a life long Beachcliff buyer, but over the years the taste and quality went down. I gave CoS a try. You can't go wrong if you like smoked flavor items. Beachcliff doesn't have any Smoked flavors.
My son likes these sardines, they are nutritious, delicious, costs less than in stores, and were delivered with no dents on any of the cans, thank you.
These were a substitution for my usual GV brand sardines. These tasted fine, but the texture was mushy compared to GV brand. Will stick to GV brand in the future for the firmer sardine texture.
this product turned my stomach %26 o could not eat it - literally threw it in the trash - its like it was the trash or scrap sardines. definitely will not purchase this item a second time… %26 i like sardines - but not these - the bad part i purchased 4 cans that will go to waste.
