This is the first time I purchase this brand and for the price it has a lot of drumsticks and the meat is really tender after cooking it and I cook it in a Air Fryer.
Great value and a large amount for the price. A real bargain compared to chicken legs or wings at fast food outlets. Especially good when coated with some Frank's Red Hot.
TRULY A WHOLE LOTTA CHICKEN in this bag = WOW , 30 chicken legs !!!! Cook up just fine and have baked them , fried , stewed them ADD your favorite flavoring like garlic , citrus , or even sauce. Makes a huge meal.
nice drum sticks good size to fry. I also feed them to my dogs they will not eat Old Roy anymore. The birds and mice will not eat it either. Something is wrong with dry dog food.
There were 23 legs in the bag. I made several meals with all the meat and got 3 quarts of broth too.
I am a canine breeder and I feed raw chicken and bone to my dogs. I do not cook them nor blanch them. They have been frozen and unfrozen a few times and smell after a day or two in the refer. My dogs love them. Small dogs get 1 each. Large dogs swallow them whole and can eat about 10 each. The small dogs do not eat the sharp bones of the middle leg and I remove those in clean up. I do not suggest homeowners feed purebreds with issues chicken bones. Wild dogs and dogs that have been fed raw are different. Cats get the blood and water after I feed the dogs.
typically the meat has arrived fresh, but unfortunately have had bags arrive within a day of their expired date, and upon opening clearly the stench of rotting meat is present. Have had refunds but lately have had to ask shopper to please inspect the date before delivering to me. This time around the communication seemed to work all worked out. thx
We buy these drumsticks for the dogs food. It is to replace the leg quarters that are no longer available. With a need to cook dogfood twice a week it is imperative that we get quality as well as economy. The problem with this package is the amount of meat to bone. with the leg Q
Last 2 times buying these found xtra bones in the bags probably to make weight, instead of meat, bones put in. also broken legs put in, which really sucks.
I purchased a 10%23 pack of FROZEN chicken, and received the package completely thawed out sitting in a pool of blood in the bag. This must have been "picked" the night before delivery and left in a refrigerator for the morning. Not the delivery drivers fault but when it comes to poultry or pork, you cannot take any chances. The bacteria count in chicken is high, requiring higher cook temps and bleach sanitization of all utensils or cutting boards used. I will not eat ANY of the chicken.
