I picked this out because of the color and the pattern expecting it to be like the average shelf lining paper (as in a generic version of Contact paper). From the second I opened the roll, I knew I was wrong! It felt like anything BUT generic shelf lining paper.
Applying it was tricky as all types of these papers are but not as tricky as I've experienced in the past. I think that is due to the type of finish. It feels more like a hard vinyl finish than a thin cover paper. So it was very rigid when applying which made it easier to handle. Of course you need to make sure it doesn't stick to itself because unlike flimsy other products, this one has some real good adhesive! It does separate if you do accidently get some stuck but not without a fight! I can only imagine what it would take to remove this in the future. It's made to stay in place and stay put. (Which is what i wanted.)
I used it to cover a shelf in the bathroom that had cheap tiles covering it. I will be painting the trim a shiny black but included a picture to show you the high gloss finish.
I was very impressed with the results and the quality of the product! I am going to use this to cover the vanity that has a horrible laminate top on it.
I highly recommend this product for covering countertops and other surfaces that need a sturdy, glossy finish that will hold up to being wiped down with water or is exposed to steamy conditions. You won't be disappointed.
