i was worried these would be too tight for my women's size 11 feet that are also very swollen and My ankles are really big too. But these are very soft and stretchy and have been comfortable from the moment I put them on yesterday. i wore them all night and they stayed secure and comfortable all night. Because they are toeless, I didn't feel like I was wearing socks at all. I like to go barefoot around the house and these stay in place and stay comfy when walking around the house. not sure the gel will help much alone but I plan to rub ointment into my heels and then wear these at night to help the ointment work. My biggest concern was that they would be too tight on my ankles as I have to wear diabetic socks as regular socks are too tight in the ankle. But these work great. so comfy I forget I am wearing them.

Great product, and I thought I'd like the toes being out, but the toes need help, also. That's the only reason for the 4. It's a five if your toes don't get rough and dry.

I've used others like these for years because they work great. These did too but now are starting to fray! One month and a day after I received them- so now they can't be returned! I'll probably end up sewing them like so many things. Wahhh
