Go for it

A good nursing chair

Excellent back support!

Joann January 29, 2024

The buttons make it so much easier to control the back and leg positions. They're positioned for ease of use where it's within reach to change positions. I love this chair, and it makes my leg injury a lot easier to tolerate.

Lovely recliner

Virginia December 1, 2023

I love the soft texture, almost chenille! I’ve been using it for two weeks now, it’s very comfortable and quiet, making it the ideal nursery rocker, but it will stay with us long past the nursery phase.

Great for anyone!

Bren March 27, 2023

Love everything about this chair. It was well thought out before manufacturing. I have back issues with arthritis. The lumbar pillow is awesome, and the recliner button is up close to you on the right outer side, and it swivels and rocks. I can't think of anything bad right now.

Love it so much it never made it to the nursery

Otto February 26, 2023

I spent a TON of time searching for a nursery chair. I was looking for something that could recline, swivel, rock and had a decently tall head rest, because: babies amiright?I was drawn to this one because of the style, color and I saw someone had commented they liked how quiet and smooth the automatic recliner is with an infant. SO much truth to that. We seriously lived in this chair for months with her. I can’t imagine having to manually recline a chair with a tiny new human that just fell asleep! (I do also love the lumbar cushion). Also: this material is SO easy clean! We didn’t have a hug spitter-upper, but it really was so easy to clean up on the occasions that she did!The USB port was an absolute bonus - spending SO much time in the chair with bébé nugget. I did have to get a USB-C converter, but that was no problem!Hubby was SUPER hesitant to get this chair off of CHITA, especially because there weren’t a ton of reviews a year ago (I believe it was fairly new at that point?). I was super persistent about it because I had spent so much time researching and looking for something I loved. Well, now it’s his chair and it never made it to the nursery because we spent all of her early months in the living room (just easier) and by the time we got to transition to a regular bedtime routine it was his chair and it wasn’t moving it threw off my chair symmetry in the living room, but I’ll let it slide We are 5’ 5” and 5’ 8” and it’s a great fit for us! Head-rest and foot-rest. I sit cross legged or with me knees bent most of the time, anyway. So: a year in and we still LOVE this chair and I love that it won over the hubs

Way nicer than unexpected

Bianca March 31, 2023

I love that it has heavy seems and the material is very leather like - it’s not genuine leather but has a thickness and pebble texture that behaves just like leather. I was worried the seams would be those single stitched inverted seems you see on cheap vinyl furniture - the kind that inevitably break down and stretch out so you can see each stitch is under alot of pressure. I was pleasantly surprised that Every seem is double stitched and very secure. The chairs of similar quality I’ve seen in local stores usually cost at least $1000 so I think I paid about $650 which feels like a great value. Love that it glides/rocks, swivels, and reclines. Power Recline works great, lumbar support is super comfy, came well packaged and assembly is just clicking the back into the seat, no bolts or anything. Size is great, not huge and overstuffed, but still graciously sized, sturdy, and wide enough for large adults to sit comfortably.

Easy to assemble and very comfortable for baby nursery. Customer support was also communicative with tracking and shipping.

Overall Nice Recliner

Madison May 15, 2025

This recliner is lovely and the color is pretty. My husband had a more cushy recliner that was worn out and this was the replacement He says it's not as comfortable as he would have liked. The lumbar support is not quite where it should be so he uses an additional cushion. It's not a huge recliner and looks nice in my living room.

Aestheticly pleasing but not for comfort

anonymous May 29, 2026

Great for aesthetics but not built for comfort. Very pretty but not ideal for a nursery chair. It is fine for an hour of sitting but certainly not comfortable for breastfeeding or future reading to kids. The arms are too short and you do not sink in. not meant for comfort.

Almost a great chair - style over substance

AugustC January 23, 2023

We wanted a recliner/rocker that wasn't big and bulky and had a more modern aesthetic. The CHITA brand was one we ended up looking at a number of models since they had such a great style, tons of good reviews, and the pricing isn't crazy. Kind of mid-to-high range. For me, comfort is paramount due to bad neck/back, and my wife is pregnant so she's looking for the rocking/gliding functionality for when the baby comes (we have another chair in the nursing room more geared at that; this is in our living room, so needed to be a bit more multi-purpose). I can say the positives with this chair are pretty great, including: 1) The faux leather is seemingly very high quality. This one is not one we'd let our 100lb dog on (if we can avoid it...) because he would very likely make tears in it. Beyond that, its plenty durable for normal use, it cleans up nicely, and the stitching looks like it was done well. 2) The cushions for where you sit (the bottom/back inside the chair) are very comfortable. They have a nice medium-firmness to them where you will not sink into them, but you do dip in just enough to get comfortable. Easy to fall asleep, equally easy to get up and out of the chair. The padding on the arms is also surprisingly good; more plush, supportive than pics make it look. 4) The power function is fine. Motor is smooth, not loud, and its just one power cord and two buttons. Nothing to learn or deal with, just simple and works. 5) Packaging was top-notch. Would be really difficult for this thing to get damaged in shipping. Now, on to the few but big negatives (big to us): 1) I should have realized this before purchasing, but the severe lack of head/neck support kills me. I've got to use a pillow while sitting in the chair since there's nothing very ergonomic about the top of the chair (meaning, above the lumbar; see in the product pics how its just a flat back straight to the top?). 2) Since the power function extends the footrest and reclines the back of the chair in unison, you can't have one higher/lower than the other if you'd like. This is mostly fine, but there's been plenty of times I've wanted to, say, raise the leg rest without reclining much or at all, but you can't do that. Again, I should have thought more about that before purchasing. 3) The biggest, worst issue: The chair has some "rock" to it when you're reclined. It is incredibly annoying. If I move in the slightest, the chair jiggles around, as if the rocking ability is locked but not completely (like 90% locked). There's less of this at different levels of recline, but if fully reclined, it *still* has give to it! I thought maybe it wasn't balanced on the floor so I checked that out but nope, not the issue. You can see its the chair itself moving a bit in the motor area (between the base/chair). Not sure if this is even supposed to do this or signal of a quality issue, but if I could have tried it in person, wouldn't have purchased it due to this problem.
