So Far so Good. Only time will tell if it rid the car of the lingering smoke odor. It definitely has a cholirine smell after and lingering like indoor pool smell. Expect that to disapate in next few days. I have tried everything to rid car of smoke smell until I ran across this. It works. But a few weeks from now the real test of if odor returns. Happy so far.
Was not expecting this small container to be as efficient as it was. I just added the water and left it on the floor by me entry way keep in mind the container said up to 250 sq. Ft. So I wasn't expecting too much but I was pleasantly surprised to walk back in a few hours later to no smell at all not even the fragrance smells from air freshener. So I'll definitely be using this again.
This is simple to use. Open the carton. Take out the the baggie of chemicals. Give them a good shake in case they settled and return to carton. Fill the small plastic container they provide with water and pour it in the carton over the chemical baggie. Set it on the floor. Shut the door. Don't come back for 24 hours. I left it for 36 hours. The smell I wanted to remove was so bad that clothes or blankets left in that room did not come clean or scent-free after two washes, extra rinse, vinegar, oxy (and I don't mean an oxy detergent. I mean straight up oxy/sodium percarbonate), and lavender essential oil in the rinse. The room smell is coming from bins of items that were salvaged after a hurricane flood. They've been in the bins for 7 years. Really funky smell, not rot, just funk. When the smell started leaking out of the closed room and permeating the house, I had to take action. So, I set the odor ninja in the room for 36 hours. It's supposed to eradicate smells from a 250 sq. ft. area. My little room is only 147 sq. ft. Afterward, when I opened the door and walked in, it still smelled musty, but closed rooms with no A/C and 80 degree heat do smell musty. There was no chlorine smell from the Odor Ninja. I waited to let the smell permeate my nostrils to get a good reaction. I'd say the original odor is 60-65% dissipated. HUGE improvement, so I'm pleased. Next, I'll be using an ozone generator. I really hate that smell.
Instructions were very easy to understand but it left my car smelling faintly like a musty pool locker room. Definitely do this with a cooled off car and on a less/non humid day!
