Chock full o'Nuts® New York Roast Dark Roast Ground Coffee Can 23 oz

For $8.48 a can the normal price, I'm in heaven.. I stocked up brought 4 cans..

We frequently buy Chock full of Nuts dark roast and their regular roast. Both are great! Oftentimes, we find it to also be at a good price point at Walmart. It has a nice aroma, and the flavor is very good. We drink a lot of coffee each day, so taste and aftertaste is important. Try it!

I have loved the Medium Roast Blend of this coffee for years. I had no idea there was a Dark Roast version. It has a wonderful, smooth, and robust flavor that I enjoy all day long. I will definitely buy this coffee over and over. It also blends well with flavored coffees to help make them last longer.

I'm very picky about my coffee. I like it deep dark, toasty but not tasting of ashes, aromatic but not overly bitter or acidic, and rich, with a full body, some overtones of chocolate or caramel or even a trace of true hazelnut rather than the fake flavoring you get in coffee creamers. I'll even mix my own sometimes, using a little espresso, a little French roast, and a little of some other dark roast like this one. Sometimes I get a great mixture and have trouble recreating it. I find that this Chock full 'O Nuts by itself hits pretty close to that sweet spot. If you like espresso but sometimes you like it a little more toasty and caramel-ish, or if you like a deep dark American roast of not very bitter beans you will probably like this. This brand's dark NY Roast does better on all those fronts; if you're looking for the one dark coffee that seems to hit that middle ground, you might find that it does it for you as well. It's going to be my new "go to" when I don't feel like custom mixing my own from several different brands.

I love Chock full o'Nuts and this rich, deep,smooth and robust blend is my new favorite. I consider myself a professional coffee drinker and have Been known to blend different roasts together to get a better taste. No need to combine anything to Chock full o'Nuts as this is a nearly perfect grind. it is the heavenly coffee we're talking about here. Try some, knowing that even the container is a grind above the rest.

I bought several Chock full of Nuts on sale for about $8.50 each at Walmart to stock up for winter, and I am so happy I did. The coffee has a great taste and is so easy to make.

Tasty! Not too strong. We normally get the Regular roast, but unavailable and opted for this instead. Glad we did. A good backup, and honestly, I would buy this again.

The coffee is good, not as bold as I like a dark roast to be. I like coffee that is strong, but does not taste burnt. This coffee has good aroma. It is smooth, just not quite bold enough.

I just called the 888 customer service phone number on the can to ask a question about the level of caffeine (100% Arabica) compared to the Chock Full O'Nuts "Original Blend. " The gal that answered the phone said she'd never heard of "Chock Full O'Nuts" coffee (welcome to America), and that she drinks "Dunkin Donuts Coffee." At that point I knew I was getting the buzzer and would not get close to anywhere with my original question related to the caffeine level. On the front of the can in capital letters it say's: DARK ~ BOLD ~ INTENSE which would lead the average person to think it is a stronger (higher caffeine) coffee .. NOT AT ALL! After doing some research, many coffee website platforms claim that "Arabica" coffee is about 1/2 the caffeine of The Chock Full O'Nuts Original Blend which uses "Robusta Beans." So, it looks like lots of peeps are being duped into the higher price 100% Arabica Coffee which actually is not really; "DARK, BOLD AND INTENSE," because a higher caffeine level should match these (misleading) words on the can. So if you want a higher caffeine level, choose the "Original Blend." Good job Mr. Zanneti! (Chock Full O'Nuts Owner) for figuring out a way to Heavenly increase sales over the past 50 years, using this very successful (wool over the eyes) tactic. This very tactic may be the main reason why and how Chock Full O'Nuts has remained competitive in a vicious coffee market. Other than all of that, I do believe Chock Full O'Nuts is one of the best coffee's on the market - when shopping at the local stores. (Not counting exotic coffee's or coffee's purchased directly from Cuba or Columbia.) On a better note; I am glad the 4 cans of 100% Arabica that I recently purchased were at half price. (Or I really would of felt like I'd been robbed.)

I prefer a dark roast coffee so when I wasn't able to get my favorite brand I tried this one. It states that it's dark, bold and intense roast. I found it to be none of these in my opinion.
