Cholula Cremosa Cotija Cheese Sauce in Resealable Plastic Bottle, 8 fl oz

I used this sauce on the chicken tacos I usually make, and it was such a great addition. The sauce is creamy, but also has tangy and citrusy flavors from the cotija cheese and lime. It balanced really well with the heat from the other ingredients I used and added another layer of flavor to the dish. It is definitely something I would get again and would recommend to others.

It comes out very very easily out of the bottle. It has a kick but I would consider it a spicy that can't be tamed with milk. I took a longer time to review so i could use it on tacos and nachos and rice bowls. Honestly, I had a surprise when it wasn't like queso but its OWN flavor. Very good

This sauce was awesome! Nice and creamy. Not spicy at all. Went well with my nachos. I don't like salty things and this definitely did not taste too salty. I can't wait to try this on other dishes too. Nice cheese flavor to to any dish. Compliments any dish very well. I will definitely be purchasing this on my own.

I received this product from bzzagent for testing and reviewing purposes. They literally had me at the word cheese. It's creamy, mild, but also with a little kick, and pairs well with So Many things! So far I've used it as a dip for pretzels, and mixed into my mexican rice. It's delicious!

The Cholula hot sauce is one of my favorite "not so spicy" hot sauces so I was really excited to give this a try! It has a tangy taste to it and it is very creamy- so delicious! I tried it with fried rice, tacos, pizza crust, and even wings! Tasted so good with all of them. Will definitely buy in the future!

I generally uses other sauces or just crumbled/shredded cheese, but this cheese sauce worked well! I like how it makes it easy to add cheese to me meals easily. Once I got past the idea that I was eating cheese from a bottle, which initially weirded me out, I was pleasantly surprised the flavor was really tasty. I received this item in exchange for and honest review. This has been an interesting product to try. Honestly, I think the only times I've ever had experience with something similar is when out to eat at a restaurant and it was drizzled on top of food like taquitos. I definitely enjoyed those drizzles which were often mixed with others such as guac or salsa, so not sure how it compares completely by itself in that situation as compared to this product. To start with the comparison, this item (versus what you may find in a restuarant) was a bit on the thicker side however it was still smooth and not congealed. Now, when I first received the product I taste tested it right out of the box. It didn't have an excessive amount of flavor just a bit of heat and almost a bitterness/bite. Luckily that night fajitas were already planned so this was a great chance to try it as a topper. The flavor profile of the cremosa changed slightly once there were other ingredients involved but still didn't overpower or detract from the staple food. I'd say it gave a bit of creamy-ness and a small amount of heat to the fajita, which helped to boost or enhance the flavor only a small bit. It doesn't make the tortilla wet or soggy which is a bonus and doesn't run everywhere so you definitely take in what you drizzle on top. From there I refrigerated the item overnight and did a similar test the next day to see if temperature had a bit of an effect on the item and flavor profile. First tasting alone, not much changed maybe a slight less bitterness but not a significant amount and then it was used on left over fajitas. Since the fajitas already had cheese not sure how necessary the cremosa was but it does give it a slightly different overall texture but doesn't overly impact the foods taste. So I'd say if you need a little something to add a dash of a bite/heat or a bit of creamy if the food doesn't have any item filling that role this would be a nice addition. For those that are adamant about no heat or want a lot of heat this may not be for you. While I believe it doesn't hold a lot I can see it being too much for someone who is sensitive to it and a bit of a disappointment for someone who likes extreme heat. It was labeled as Mild. It fits that category. So as stated before if you need a little something extra I think this is worth looking into but it's not a make or break for me personally. I'll keep trying the product on other food options but as of right now I don't see my opinion changing regardless of what it's applied to. Lastly some final thoughts to a few specific questions asked post testing. As for how this item compares to other products, while it's not restaurant standard it's probably a solid store-bought brand. The benefits of owning this item is that a little goes a long way so you will be able to use a single bottle for multiple entrees/snacks, so a nice cost-effective option. Now as for whether I would personally buy this product, to be honest I'm not sure. It's not something typically on my radar when cooking but maybe after more uses I would consider a purchase. And finally, would I recommend this product to my friends and family. Yes and no, my answer being more based on what I know of them and their preferred flavor and food profiles, however if for some reason they were looking to try something a little different but not go too crazy, sure I would probably throw it into the mix as an option.

I received a free bottle of Cholula Cremosa Cotija Cheese Sauce from BzzAgent in exchange for my honest review. I was excited to try it since I'm a huge fan of Cholula's hot sauces, especially the Sweet Habanero variety. On first smell and taste, it reminded me of a tangy Caesar-style dressing, which wasn't quite what I was expecting. While the flavor starts out pleasant enough, there is an aftertaste that just doesn't agree with my palate. Unfortunately, this isn't a product I plan to purchase again. That said, one disappointing product won't change my opinion of the brand overall. I'll continue to be a loyal fan of Cholula's Sweet Habanero sauce, which remains one of my favorites.

I was not a fan at all. I'm not sure if I received a bad bottle, or it's just not for me, but this had an offputting bad, borderline rancid oil flavor. I do appreciate the concept, and was hoping to try it on corn for Mexican street corn, but the rancid oil flavor is just too strong!
