I decided to try to learn how to play the guitar so I could sing and play with my preschool class. I was getting very frustrated because my fingers would not do what I want them to do. I put the chord buddy on my guitar and could play a dozen songs the first night. Just wish they made more of these in different keys so I did not have to re-key the songs I want to be able to play. It will take some practice because you do have to press down on the tabs very hard to get a clear not so need to build up some more strength in my left hand so the strings don't twang.
This is an excellent product. Works great once you get it on the guitar. Have to adjust it now and then to make sure it is on properly. A lot of fun and more songs available on website you tube channel.
Works great! Never picked up a guitar in my life and was playing songs in 2 days.
This was a gift for my husband that the whole family has enjoyed trying out.
Best ever! played songs within minutes.
The Buddy Chord is a good way to help you in learn your chord, and giving you time to get your finger ready.
Ordering from the website and having it shipped to the store was great
I watched several times the several videos on how to install. Bought for a quality guitar. My first problem, the plastic "ledge" that's supposed to sit on top of the fret board was so narrow it couldn't stay on as intended. Even when held in place, the buttons didn't line up with the strings.
Didn't get the DVD with it like it was supposed to have
The device is rather flimsy and does not fit in a stable manner on the neck of the guitar. The tabs are too wide and continually touch adjoining strings so as to cause those strings to have a dead sound. Readjusting the position of the device would help for a few strums but then the device would twist sideways ever so slightly and the tabs would again touch strings on either side. After many unsuccessful attempts over several days to make it work, I returned the item for credit as it was unusable as far as I could determine.
