I spoke with an herbalist since my husband takes blood pressure medicine, and they recommended Christopher's Respiratory Syrup. It help with his congestion and it didn't elevate his blood pressure. But when in doubt, consult your doctor.

It's OK, not good for the price!
I can only say that it's OK. Will not purchase again. I have a feeding tube so I do not have to swallow it, but it smells so horrible it almost makes me not want to use it. Trying to use it up. Can't tell you it has helped my cough either. Price way too much for the benefits.
