Chuck Roast, Choice Angus Beef, Tray, Fresh, 2.00 - 2.75 lb

Beautiful chuck roasts! I ordered 2 of these chuck roasts this time. I have ordered them in the past and I have never been disappointed! they always look beautiful and have a nice marbling (which you want a little bit of in order to make a delicious pot roast). I've never been disappointed with this purchase of these. Walmart always comes through for me with quality. We have pot roast twice a month (because I'm the household cook and I LOVE it! These are quality you can count on!

It's expensive like everything these days and not something I can afford to order often but it was a good splurge for a special occasion. Quality of meat was good, not too much fat. Always nervous when I purchase meat online and don't choose myself in store but it worked out well.

Delicious pot roast with this beautiful cut of meat. Braised it first, then a 5 hour slow cook (crock pot or InstaPot, with spices and a touch of sherry coupled with red potatoes, carrots, onions, celery and scallions. Because it’s not meant to be eaten after a fast cook it’s suited for a long slow cook. People who reject it or complain about it being tough and dry don’t know how to cook muscular meats. Long, slow, and low heat is best. Bring the meat up to 220 degrees internal temp for a juicy tender roast

This is my go to choice for the most delicious pot roast! I put this gorgeous, lean piece of meat in the crockpot with a sliced fresh onion, a package of baby carrots, a few fresh russet potatoes, a bag of frozen pease, a bag of frozen corn, my personal spices, and a few packets of brown gravy mix and fill to the top with water. Five hours later… this meat falls off the fork and melts in your mouth! Always a family favorite!!!

Tasted fine. Was tender. BUT there's no way this isnt pumped full of extra liquid.... 7 lbs for roughly 40 dollars and after slow cooking it resulted in 2.5 lbs of meat. NO WAY. Been cooking and baking professionally for over thirty years and have NEVER had meat lose so much weight due to liquid separation. Generally, AFTER cooking i end up with just over half the starting weight. being left with roughly one third the starting weight is ridiculous. 16 or so dollars per lb after cooked???? UNHEARD OF!

I bought this roast to cut up for soup and smaller roast to cook in crockpot. I made soup, first, it was really good. Only problem was I had diarrhea for 4 days. I did cook the smaller pieces in the crockpot as a roast. Added to the diarrhea. I have never had this problem with beef roast before

I used my instant pot to cook this roast, my tried and true method for cooking a chuck roast. They always turn out very tender. This is the the first chuck roast I have purchased from Walmart. When I took it out of the package, it gave me pause because it felt extremely stiff, which I finally attributed to the fat cap which was rather thick. But the roast almost looked plastic because the meat was hard, and too perfect looking with no marbling, unusual for a chuck roast. Unfortunately, that toughness lasted throughout the cooking process. It was the worst piece of meat I’ve ever purchased. Even the flavor wasn’t normal.

Even after several hours in the crockpot this was not great. Tough which surprised me but I have seen that a lot from the meats lately. I am far from being a tree hugger but if the meat keeps being this poor quality I think I might just have to only eat fish.

I placed an order for a roast that looked much better than the one that was sent to me. The one I received was nothing but fat and it was so small in size that it was only enough to feed 2 people whereas the one i chose was big enough to feed at least 4 people im sooooo disappointed with the personal shopper who picked this roast

The roast was too small for my family. I can’t order meats and other things that have a wide weight range anymore so the convenience of pickup is limited. On Walmart pickup we should for example be able to select under 3lbs or over 3lbs for an item that specifies 2.25 lbs to 3.38 lbs.
