My wife and I went to babysit one of my daughter's dogs, this past weekend. So I bought this to see if it would break the dog of bad habits like jumping up on my wife when she's sitting. I tried this device with the strobe effect and it worked perfectly. After the first couple of times, all I had to do was point it at the dog without even turning it on, and the dog got right down. It works great! Highly recommended!

My routine is to let them bark once or twice to alert me, say "ok thank you," then if they keep up the barking give a warning like "no bark." If the barking continues, I use this device, and it stops them immediately. It's drastically reduced my stress and helped train them to listen to my cues. also this doesn't seem to hurt them at all it's more like it startles or distracts them one of my poodles is very curious about it and anytime I push the button he stops barking but he also comes right to the device to see what it is.

This is a miracle. Our boxer was barking incessantly at the mail truck, Fed Ex %26 the UPS truck even if they didn't stop at our house, it got so bad that our chocolate lab would join in and they both were barking so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. We got this a week ago and my husband used it one time on the lowest setting and the dogs took notice right away. There is a button that just beeps, they don't even like that. All I have had to do is hold it up and they start backing away. I would highly recommend this CICPAP Dog Bark Deterrent, it truly has been a miracle, I didn't think anything would stop the barking. hey guys, I think this is the best gift I gave to myself. I have four dogs rescued mostly, but when people come over they bark and bark and bark but they're friendly. I got this dog deterrence and it works like a charm. I had to wait to review it for you because I wanted to make sure it worked. a repairman came over and they started barking again and I said watch this and I just pushed the little button they all hushed and sat down. he said how did you do that I showed him this little tool he thought it was amazing and so did I. it doesn't harm the dog it's just the sound they don't like. it makes it more pleasant when company comes. I would highly recommend this item. it also has a flashlight which comes in handy. and a rechargeable cord

It is really handy has a wrist strap however the sound that humans can hear had absolutely no effect on my beagle. I then tried the sound that only dogs can hear and it worked. Long term I am hopeful but she gates delivery people. Has a flashlight which is nice.

I have a very yappy Pomeranian who thinks every squirrel, leaf, and person walking by the house needs to be barked at. 😅 I honestly wasn't sure this would work, but I was pleasantly surprised. After using it consistently for a few days, she started paying attention to the sound and stopped barking much faster. I love that it doesn't use shock or anything that could hurt her—it just helps redirect her attention. It's easy to use, rechargeable, and the flashlight is a nice extra feature. My Pom still has her moments, but the nonstop barking has improved so much. Definitely one of the best training tools I've bought!

Packaged well and arrived in great shape . The bark control does not shock the dog which is why I elected this device. The sound is ultrasonic geared to decibels that signal the dog. I got to deter the excessive barking. It seems to be effective for training dogs as well as signaling the dog to desired behavior. Make sure to charge before first use and don't over use in training the dogs get the message very quickly. Reliability that it does what it is supposed to do.

Just what i have been looking for to calm my high energy dog down at night. She barks at everything. Now she comes it the house allowing my neighbors to sleep.

My dogs are now associating this sound with the word no. Sometimes all I need to do is say no, or just reach for it and they will stop. I no longer feel like a yoyo with all the getting up and down to quiet their barking. This has made it quick and easy to train them not to bark.

Sadly Walmart has a knack of asking for a comment rating I feel is too soon after an item is purchased. Also I have learned that these surveys last only 90 days which many times it takes that long to discover if an item is bad or good. So I cannot give a full proper answer to any question about it, but can give something. The delivery of the item came in a box that was scratch free. Upon opening it up, never having seen one before, so far all I know is that everything it says is supposed to work, has worked as expected. What I don't know is how good it works on stopping a dog from excessively barking as the culprit neighbor's dog has stopped barking. Off hand, I am going to say it works. I purchased a more expensive one that claims it has a further range and uses different frequencies as compared to other choices. Therefore I figure if they are all claiming to stop dogs from barking, then this one is more likely to do the job as long as the frequencies advertised are working.
