Civil War (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital)

I saw this movie at the theater last year. It is a good movie. I returned it because I made a mistake, thinking that it was a dvd, not blu-ray. I do not have a blu-ray player. This movie is very hard to find, especially in dvd format. I highly recommend it!

Alex Garland's view of America split asunder by military conflict. A brilliant movie if you are not put off by a jaundiced view of society. Kirsten Dunst is phenomenal. This is a blu-ray, dvd and digital copy Region 1 combo, which is nice. Sure beats ordering a Region 4 copy by way of Australia.

This was priced well and arrived in perfect condition. The digital code worked and it's nice to have a DVD and a Blu Ray copy as well. Good storyline.

An interesting view of war from the viewpoint of war correspondent photographers. Our group picks up a young girl trying to become war photographer and is taught the ropes. As it goes forward she learns from the best and fills the void at the end

Civil War is a bold piece of filmmaking: immersive, disturbing, thought-provoking. It's best experienced on the big screen, where the sound and visuals can hit hardest. That said, if you're looking for a neatly tied narrative with identifiable heroes and villains, or a clear political roadmap, you might leave feeling like something essential was withheld.

The movie itself was OK, entertaining somewhat, not really what I expected. kinda boring… not much of a plot/theme to go by….

It was ok but could have been a lot better, I like to seek hidden gem on things I already know and if I had the chance I probably wouldn't have purchased it again

Blu-ray disc did not work ("unrecognized" by player); standard DVD worked. Story was mediocre at best, largely from the perspective of so-called journalists who put themselves into the middle of violent "battles" in hopes of snapping an award-winning photo. Far-fetched incidents were somewhat difficult to follow (who's who?). I wasn't expecting the movie to be good, but I wanted to see it. It was a disappointment, as expected, based on reviews I read before purchasing the movie. If you want to watch it for the sake of seeing it (like I did), the price is reasonable. If you are looking for a good movie to watch and enjoy, this may not be a good choice.

THE FIRST FIFTY PAGES OF THE BOOK "THE HALL", PUBLISHED IN 2027. I is certainly not the book, as such it lacks the depth of the characters. The president is nothing more than a cartoon without any further development. The idea of a large scale conflict as depicted is ludicrous.
