Clairol Color Crave Temporary Hair Color Makeup Brilliant Ruby, 1 Application

I have my own way of using this product. I use a mascara wand to apply it to strands of my hair to give it highlights, as if it's hair mascara. First, I use the foam applicator on the top to dab it onto my (clean) bathroom sink. Then I swipe my mascara wand through it and brush it into my hair. I continue to fill the wand, brushing the product through my hair until I have finished putting the highlights all over my hair. Then I use a natural bristle brush to diffuse the color. I love the way it looks. I color my hair (a dark shade of brown) and this product makes my hair color appear natural. I have tried 3 different shades, And Shimmering Copper is my favorite. The sink is easy to clean. Plus, if I apply too much product to any part of my hair, a damp cotton ball or a makeup remover sheet is all it takes to set things right. I will be ordering more of this.

I love the product ! Not only does it put shine and color to your hair but it adds color to your face. Definitely makes you smile ! I would prefer to see this item without the ball felt top and just in a container. Sometimes if you squeeze too hard it comes from the bottom of the ball and you can have a mess to clean up. Definitely put an old towel underneath while you are applying. Love my color!

This product is the best for a covered up gray hair, especially at this time. can't say enough about how great it is.

love using this on my hair for added color it's pretty all the color do not use on scalp just hair strange.

I have black hair but bought this as it says for dark to light hair. I bought brilliant amethyst and it's not really brilliant except a slight shimmer, and not amethyst as it shows up more blue than purple. Not sure how the model with black hair on the box got that shade of pinkish-purple but it wasn't from this product! I also wasn't sure how long to blow dry my hair but it doesn't get brighter the longer you dry. Under warm light this is virtually invisible but under white light I can see the blue -- this is quite subtle and I wore it to work. This does wash out completely after 1 wash. 4 stars because I actually like the subtle blue, but definitely not as advertised.

I was so excited to try this because it meant that I could have coloured hair without having to bleach it. I also liked the idea that it was temporary, so I could change colours and often if I wanted to. For first use, I tried on a thick strip of hair and it worked well. When I tried to use this a few months later, the liquid must have thickened up because it wasn't coming through the applicator. So, I tried squeezing the bottle and the colour started squirting out from the side of the applicator. To this day I've not been able to figure out how to use the rest of the product without having a huge mess. I may have to throw it out :(

This was not user friendly and the product info online did not match up with what the product was actually like. Total waste of money. If you shook your head glitter and went everywhere.

The applicator broke the first time I applied it. The hair color is ok but with a broken applicator its not worth the hassle. Waste of money. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
