1. Covers gray well for 2-3 weeks. Many semi-permanents will not cover gray at all. 2. Has natural-tone colors, vs. rainbow brights. The dark browns are redder than I prefer, but can be browned down using a rainbow-bright semi-permanent green or blue as a toner. 3. My hair is healthier and shinier than when I was using permanent color. 4. Semi-permanent color is more affected by the natural hair color than permanents. My grays become lighter brown highlights, and there is more subtle variation--the combination looks more natural than even well-done permanent color.

I bought this color because I was accidentally sent a very dark brown from an online seller. One of the wonderful things about this hair color is that you can mix two or more colors together to find the one you really want. Also the color lasts longer than any semi permanent hair color I have tried, it looks really natural and is consistent every time.

I've been using the advanced gray solution for 6 years (Mahogany Red and Burgundy Brown) and I LOVE the product. I have recently lightened my hair to a copper tone and was wondering when/if there will be more colors added to the advanced gray collection?

excellent gray coverage, I use it in between permanent colorings. I find within one week after a permanent color, I have visable roots along the hairline . I used 1A Midnight Black. The key is to thoroughly saturate the hair. Make sure you apply a protective crème along the hairline to avoid staining your skin. Do not put on a plastic cap, The oxygen helps to process the color. Clairol should make a golden blond color. Have a friend that has natural redish hair. It would be perfect for her.

This did a decent job of covering my greys. It turned my grey hair a light brown. It does have a more reddish tone than I wanted. was hoping for a cooler ash tone, but it's not too bad. The instructions are a little annoying since you have to apply to clean, wet hair… which means two showers. But then I realized I can just shampoo my hair the day before and just quickly rewet it under the faucet the next day. Then shower after coloring is finished. I haven't shampooed yet, so can't really comment on how fast it washes out.

Clairol gray covers my white hair and is gentle enough to use after relaxed touch up. I would absolutely love to see a thicker gel-like consistency - the liquid runs and makes at home use more messy.

I love this stuff! It is great for covering grays and is not as harsh as normal hair dye so I use it on the grays that show up at my hairline around my face about a week after I dye my hair. It helps increase the time I can go between colorings

It did not color the gray hair. However, it did enhance the original color of the non-gray hair. It washed out after only a few shampoos. The gray hair was more pronounced because the rest of the hair was darker overall.
