Clarity E814CC 40DB Amplified Cord/Cordless Phone

I purchased this phone for my business because of all the background noise in my phone lines. I have had the phone company out 5 or 6 times and they can't seem to take care of it. I needed to be able to hear my take out orders for my sub shop and this was the only way I could think of to remedy the situation. I am happy to report that it worked! This phone has enough volume to override the background noise that was hindering my business orders. I am very glad I purchased this particular phone. I am also very glad that I bought it from Walmart. The service and speedy delivery of this phone made it possible for me to correct the problem at my business in a timely manner and not lose customers because of it. this is an amazing phone mother is hard of hearing and it works well

My sister has no vision in one eye; and limited in the other. She likes the phone. I had no problem installing it for her. She can somewhat see the numbers on the Corded Digital Answering Machine because they are white. She would not be able to see them if they were black. The one thing that needs improving is a deeper cradle in which to place the phone. Because of her limited sight, it requires extra effort for her to secure the phone in the place.

This phone has great clarity and meets the expectation for a slightly hearing impaired individual however, it is difficult to set up. The features are good but very difficult for an elderly person to understand. If you are technology savy, the options are great. I would recommend this to others.

The main phone is great for people who are hearing impaired. I wish the cordless was as loud as the main phone, but it is still good. Overall it is a great phone for people who are hard of hearing and who need a cordless also.

Product is great but was very obviously repackaged which makes me wonder why. it was supposed to be new

I do have to give the phone credit that it does amplify the sound (but you have to push the boost button every time). When I told my dad to push the boost button he kept saying "what" so I'm pretty sure he is not going to understand the boost button purpose. When I tried putting in my name and my sisters names and numbers into the directory I finally gave up. The number went in fine but I could not get the letters of the names to go in. I read the manual over and over and could not find how to change letters. My sister came over and we tried for 1/2 hour before we finally figured it out. I have to say this is the hardest phone to look at and figure out what the symbols mean. Even if I just want to erase missed calls it is a challenge. My dad can hear on it good enough to hear me say "dinners ready, come on over" so that saves me a trip and if I try to tell him anything else he will say "I can't hear you, I'll just come over", and that saves me a trip also so I am giving it 3 stars.

The sound on this phone is not as clear as I anticipated. It is still difficult to hear some conversations. The boost button does provide added volume but it also includes added background noise as well. Delivery by Walmart was fast.

The base number pad does not light up. Someone that is hard of seeing can't use it. Also the phone is hard to hang up in the cradle. Returned this item for a refund.

It was easy to set up and the buttons are easy to read. However, the speaker phone and message playback over the speaker were very distorted and hard to understand.
