... Excellent old style utility knife...:-)
The utility knife features interlocking above and below the blade so the blade never comes through the handle when used ruggedly. It uses Stanley blades which have the 2 notches cut out on top. Easy to switch blades with flat-head or Phillips screwdriver.
My tried and true brand utility knife. It is metal and even came with 3 blades!
Good Quailty
My Stanley 99 Retractable Blade Utility Knife has be with me for 40+ years, through thick and thin, & it has done the job whenever I've reached for it! Simple design. Metal body. Durable blades. Working 25 years in New England, indoors and out, doing commercial building maintenance, landscaping & office cleaning, not once, did it let me down, by breaking down. It is a one-of-a-kind tool with one-of-a-kind durabiltiy!
Great "Stanley" item - delivery was on time !!! Had a little hard time opening the item to use . Not sure of their assembly, but, I had to take it a store with tools to open. They had a hard time too.... but, it was opened and item is fine
This brand has been around for years . Best on the market and the price cannot be beat. Outstanding quality!
It's called "Classic" for a reason. I have owned and used this utility knife for decades. I keep one in my work truck, one in my basement shop and another in a toolbox in the utility room so there's always one handy when I need it.
This is the most comfortable utility knife on the market because it doesn't have a rubber handle. I have found that this smooth finish makes me more productive. I don't have time to worry about someone's definition of comfort. Also, if you want a thin utility knife, then you have to sacrifice blade storage. This utility knife holds up to 11 razor blades inside of the handle and one in front, for a total of 12 razor blades. If you want a belt or pocket clip, then you have to sacrifice comfort because it is not comfortable having a clip dig into the palm of my hand. The best feature is the 5 exposed blade positions. Most retractable utility knives on the market only have up to 3 blade positions, some have only 1. You usually have to read the fine print (in a tiny font size on the back of the package to discover the truth). I have found that many retractable utility knives will jam because the quick-change mechanism does not stay aligned properly (you won't have that problem ever with this model). The only thing that can be improved would be having ridges along the top and bottom of the handle to prevent slippage when your hand is hot and sweaty.
From the picture it seemed like knife came with at least one blade. WRONG, not even a single blade is included with the product.
