This fruit cake is very good. It is moist and more like candied fruit not cake. So if you like dry cake-like fruit cake this is NOT for you. I prefer the candied fruit cake so that why I am a repeat buyer.

I love these. And they are hard to find. Thankful Sam's carries them.

As a child, I grew up at a time when my grandmother would bake fruitcakes for the holidays. She would then give them out as holiday gifts to all the neighbors. I have always loved them. I will be turning eighty in June. When I found the Claxton Fruit Cakes at Walmart, I was in my glory. This brought back so many childhood memories. Although these fruit cakes are seasonal, you can order them online and have them shipped to your front door. Now I can be happy all year round.

It came in record time and it was well packaged as expected. Taste wise, I guess you have to like fruitcake. I like it and I just wish I can get it fresh but no way to guarantee that when your order cakes through the web. This brand has consistent quality but how fresh it maybe is a question of when you order it. It is a seasonal item so better to get it during Christmas.

I buy these every year. For those of us who like fruitcake, this is a Christmas treat we look forward to each year. Nice taste %26 texture %26 very nice with a hot cup of coffee or tea. I usually order the 3-pack. That way each bar is nice %26 fresh.

It askes if I recommend these, Yes I do but like the old joke most people don't like it but I have tried anyway because I love them. Good texture and value. I have even adulted 2 of them by wrapping in adult drinking cheese cloth. They are also great for taking as delicious white elephant gifts. The consistency is great even after freezing and thawing. Diet? What diet. It's for the holiday season although I have ordered these during the summer also.

I purchased this from Sam's at the holidays. It was wonderful. When it popped up as a suggestion on my feed I ordered the 3/1lb box offer. Unfortunately, only one 1lb was shipped. Not good. I will return. Disappointing. I will try again in the future.

So disappointed Wish I could get fresh product

this fruitcake is very good %26 I have previously purchased them but if you're hoping the seller will respond to any issues you have, THINK AGAIN. I purchased three 1 pound cakes for a gift but only received one. I contacted them THREE TIMES %26 NEVER heard one word from them. It made that one cake very costly. To me it's the height of disrespect to a customer to not have the decency to communicate with the people who keep you in business %26 just take that customer's money. Thank goodness WalMart made it right. I will NEVER buy these fruitcakes again. Terrible business!!! .
