I recently tried the Cleaveland Kitchen Classic Dill Pickle Spears 32oz, and I can honestly say these are some of the freshest, most flavorful pickles I've had in a long time! First off, the crunch is incredible. Every bite has that satisfying snap you want from a high-quality pickle—never soggy or soft. You can tell right away that these are made with fresh cucumbers and handled with care. The texture alone sets them apart from typical shelf-stable brands. Flavor-wise, these pickles hit a perfect balance. They have a bright, tangy dill taste with just the right amount of garlic and spice—nothing overpowering, just clean and refreshing. I also love that they're lightly fermented, which gives them a more natural, slightly complex flavor compared to standard vinegar-heavy pickles. Another huge plus for me is the ingredient list. These are made with simple, recognizable ingredients and include live cultures, which is a nice bonus if you're trying to incorporate more gut-friendly foods into your diet. It's great to enjoy something that tastes this good and still feels like a healthier choice. The 32 oz container is generous and stays fresh in the fridge, making it perfect for everything from snacking straight out of the tub to adding to sandwiches, burgers, or charcuterie boards. If I had to mention one thing, it's that because they're a fresh, refrigerated pickle, the flavor can be a little different from traditional shelf pickles—but in my opinion, that's exactly what makes them special. Overall, I highly recommend these to anyone who loves crispy, fresh, deli-style pickles with a natural twist. I'll definitely be buying them again!
These are one of my favorite pickles but they are out of stock now so I ordered Grillo's dill spears instead. The Grillo's are very good and cost a little more, please bring the Cleveland Kitchen dill spears back and I'll gladly pay the same price. I'll order both because I like good pickles and variety is the spice of life.
Best thing that has ever happened in the pickle world! Super crunchy, amazingly fresh, not over garlicky, consistently excellent. Fresh, clean, uncomplicated flavor. Clean ingredients. I cannot get enough of these!
I personally like them better than claussen brand. Just like everything else they could be a bit more affordable. I remember when I used to be able to buy high quality pickles for 3 dollars. Even though they are 5 dollars and some change I do hope to see sales someday and they are still worth getting.
My youngest is particular on his likes and dislikes. He loves a good pickle and these are one of his favorites. It doesn't have the spices and heavy flavors some similar pickle brands have, just the deli style crunch and freshness. It's a bit pricey, but worth it.
People are raving about these and I don't know why. Maybe I don't know what to expect out of a fermented pickle. As far as crunch and freshness, you can't beat these, but they basically taste like a bitter cucumber with a hint of dill. Edible, but not enjoyable.
There are 2 general types of pickles, vinegar based(most everything in a jar) and lacto-fermented(most everything in a refrigerated plastic tub that costs a ton and tastes totally different). If you want fermented pickles, these are NOT. Despite having “fermented” label in multiple places and being $7 for a little tub in the refrigerated section, these taste exactly like any old (vinegar based) jar of Vlasic dill spears. Check the ingredients and there's the vinegar. Check the fine print in the app and you find “crafted with fermented vinegar”…,yea all mass produced vinegar is fermented, but that doesn't make a vinegar pickle into a fermented pickle. Ripoff.
The website describes it as a pack of six 32oz . What I received was one 32oz container. Also... Is the container supposed to be bloated and his like an angry cat when you open it??? The liquid inside was fizzing like a fresh poured soda which seemed very odd to me. I discarded the product out of fear of food poisoning.
Purchased April 24, 2023 via grocery pick up. Brought them home and put them in the refrigerator. Noted they looked cloudy, but figured they were just that kind of pickle. Today, April 30, 2023, I went to get them so I could eat some and the container is bloated. Even the bottom of the container is uneven. No way I'm risking it. The date on the package says July 15, 2023. Not worth the hassle to return, so I'll just avoid these in the future.
these pickles did not taste anything like a genuine Dill pickle. they were tasteless and they were flabby. would never buy this again. and I don't recommend it to anyone.
