Product cant be beat and price is great.
I like the chlorox ap tells me what to add and if I don't have the ap will order it from Walmart and I pick it up there in the two days I don't have to look for it.
I bought this at an upstate NY Super Wal-Mart. The price was good about $10. for a 5 lb. container about half the price of my local NY Metro suburb pool store. Just as the instructions stated after testing my pool water I added 7.5 lbs (1.5 bottles of powder) and it increased the Calcium Hardness by over 50 ppm. The product dissolved well but as the container stated for good measure, I swept my pool just in case there were any left over clumps that could have bleached the surface.
I have been using this product for a few years along with the poolcalculator.com to maintain my pool and have never had a problem. Great price too!
responding to some of the posts. On the back right hand side seven lines down white letters on blue background “contains calcium chloride“. Granted I don't know the percentage of calcium chloride I think it's fairly low because it does not get hot in the bucket. I always dissolve before I pour in the pool. However it's made for Homeowners not necessarily the pros. So the percentage of calcium chloride I would think, due to liability issues, would be lower than a licensed professional would purchase. And that my friends is a good thing. It works!
Clorox products list their ingredients and percentages above the word DANGER, the BLOD word danger, on their packaging. While I haven't quite figured out the balance of my own pool, the app works fine, the chanicals work fine, however, Me, the operator is trying to get a hang of it. Great product, great information, great research to- Lehman terms. We could all be chemist, for a summer, if you read the back of the package.!.
I use this product several times a year, preferring to use poolwatercalc.com to calculate the quantity needed. Fair price and solid product!
I can't believe this product is being sold so widely with no active/inactive ingredients list. Basic safety warnings are NOT suffienct. Those in local poison control need to have this information when giving proper medical advice due to accidental ingestion. I hope ingredients are listed before someone is hurt and a potential lawsuit spurs proper action to be taken.
Very difficult to impossible to find ingredients for this product. It's not on the package and still haven't found that info online nor on the Clorox site. The Clorox web site is terrible. Tried searching all products and it comes up with a pool problem list instead. Terribly in-user-friendly --- if looking for anything other than a diagnosis and their solutions. I get the cram it down your throat sales thing but if just looking for product info to compare to other products it's impossible. I'm putting the Clorox product back on the shelf and not buying it. I have no idea what's in it. Too bad....
Ingredients cannot be found anywhere and there are little to no way to determine amounts to use. Material Safety Data Sheets for this product cannot be found anywhere either. Very, very, unsafe to use.
