I started using this product at the beginning of the monsoon season and it has exceeded my expectations to keep the water balanced and clear. OK, here's the good - I started getting a few algae blooms in the pool. I didn't have any algaecide on hand and I knew my phosphates were off the scale with dust and t-storms coming. Before I could do anything about my phosphates I needed to kill all the algae. I thought why not, and tossed two of these tablets in my skimmer basket. Figured it wouldn't hurt. By the next day, the algae was dead! Surprised me. I was dubious about the algae fighting properties of these but I was wrong... The not so great part is both tablets dissolved in 24 hours. I usually get up to a week with a regular (cheap) tablet so I deducted one star. I got this for free for a fair review but I think I'll buy some more just to kill off any algae blooms in the future. Very impressed with the result just not so much with how fast it dissolved. On the other hand would it have been as effective if it didn't dissolve overnight? Need to think on this but I'l definitely keep a few around for when I need them. I priced them at the store and they are way more cost effective than most shock and algaecide products. Overall the tabs seem to last longer and provide the same level of chlorination that I am accustomed to. My cyanuric acid level has remained consistant but the ph level seems to be a bit less stable since using these tablets. I seem to be using a bit more acid than normal but we have had some rain recently. Overall I would recommend these tablets over any other currently on the market.
