I am not sure, but this movie to me is about reincarnation. Many different lives over many time periods. It's really good acting. I totally recommend the movie, Cloud Atlas

Have to watch it more than once, and really pay attention when you do, but it does eventually make sense. Blame David Mitchell, not the Wachowskis. I was disappointed by a verrry slow delivery time, and the fact that I paid around $20 online, only to find it in the store for $10 the day my order finally arrived.

If I had only seen the movie, I would not have been able to follow it well. I read the book first and never would have believed it COULD be made into a movie, but they did a great job. Major actors, too!

It was out of this world but I liked it

As someone who watches a lot of movies I always appreciate when the standard movie mold is cast aside in favor of great storytelling. This is not a movie for casual entertainment but rather cerebral feeding. If you need someone to hold up a placard telling you when to clap you will probably find this movie too confusing to enjoy but if you are someone who can feel the changes and are tired of the typical Hollyweird fried bologna that get churned out by the score this may be just what the doctor ordered. This is what I call an extended shelf life movie, you can watch it again and again without it becoming tiresome. If you are a fan of Sci-Fi and the weight of Asimov's Foundation didn't intimidate you then this movie may be something you have been yearning for. This movie could be twice as long and still leave you craving more.

I've watched this movie at least six times since I bought it and it is one of the best films I've ever seen! Each time I view it I connect several more pieces of the movie's puzzle, story, plot, and connections. It certainly isn't a movie for fans of car chases and action for action's sake, and I will never understand why it was rated so low. Tom Hanks was very good as usual spanning the centuries from a cowardly goat herder to a murderous doctor, an angry author, and several other characters. Halle Berry also did a lovely job as six different people, and you will not recognize her in a couple of roles! Hugo Weaving is always superb. So many good actors in so many roles -- if you like science fiction and puzzles you will like this film.

I loved this movie, I had to watch it twice to figure out all the story lines. I love a movie that makes me think and that keeps my attention. If you love Science Fiction then watch Cloud Atlas.

I had high hopes for this movie as it was recommended by my grandson. It was nothing but a garbled mess that led to nothing in particular. It was also obvious that I would have to see it several times over to understand what was happening! I never did come to any conclusion! If this is what younger people are watching there is no wonder they do not know what going on in the world today!
