Living in Maine my backyard is woodsy, the FL60 is perfect to take the dog out at nite.I like the wide beam of lite it provides, the versatility of being able to use regular batteries if I forget to recharge the lithium battery that holds its charge for a long time.

This headlamp is easy to use and affordable. Its' basic features are exactly what is needed sometimes. I keep it in my purse. The lifetime warranty is a huge plus!

When I had the compressor in my (Viking) refrigerator rebuilt, the extraordinary technician left one thing in my "new" appliance: a Coast flashlight! I have been hopelessly faithful to their products ever since. They are just built, they work perfectly every time and it really seems that each new product I buy should cost more. So onto my most recent purchase--the Crew Rechargeable Headlamp. My friend had one when he helped me move out of a storage unit. I said "I need to get one of those." He's a big-time camper/hiker and he basically thought everyone had one. I bought mine about a year later and in two weeks it paid for itself: one time, in my new (smaller) storage unit and then in a surprise experience a bit off-road in the dark. I keep it in my car now and never worry because I can recharge it anytime. I only hope the next time I need it I am riding my bike on a cool Summer night along the Pacific Ocean beaches. Do not coast, buy what you need and what you want NOW.

Haven't had this headlamp too long, but it has already saved me from being stuck on the side of the road with vehicle issues. Thankfully I had it right there in my truck with me when the problems arose unexpectedly. It cast plenty of light into my engine bay as I worked to fix my vehicle. It also helped to let other cars coming up the road, that I was there on the narrow shoulder of the road. Preventing more serious circumstances from taking place as I scrambled to get my truck going again. May just have been a true life saver....Thank You Coast!

I rec'd this FL60R as a warranty replacement - the switch is the same so it will probably eventually fail, too. Have to press several times before actually pressing the switch under the rubber cover. I love everything else about all my coast headlamps and their lifetime warranty is real and not a big hassle. Rechargable, yay!

The lights are great. They are bright. The flexible battery option is terrific. The button is hard to find without looking at, but that's a minor issue. The HUGE issue I have is the enormous amount of difficult packaging. Two little headlamps do NOT require fancy boxes containing heavy duty form fitted enormous plastic packaging that takes a scissors, 20 minutes, and a couple bandaids to successfully open. We don't have recycling here, so all that useless packaging filled the trash can. Do better. No need for this!

Great light, feels sturdy but lightweight. My only issues is that the rechargeable battery pack doesn't last long enough for a days use. Even when I toggle through to the lower setting, the light fades and becomes very dim after about 60-90 minutes of continuous use. I don't mind charging my headlamp every night, buts it's a pain when I am working in an attic midday and all of a sudden it fades and I can barely see. Probably won't order this particular headlamp again.

So i bought this for my brother as a gift for his birthday and he loves it, its bright enough for whatever the job has him do. Unfortunately he hold me the battery life sucks on the rechargeable battery and explained to me that on high mode it lasts only 30 minutes when it starts to dim then 1 hour its turns itself off. He wakes up on Saturday's at 2:00am and he needs every bit on light he can get but it only lasts less than a hour. Good light thought but battery life horrible. Ive increased the rating on the light but the battery is the problem.

Light gets dim after about 5 mins of being on...have to turn it off and back on to get full brightness. After 2 months of use the charging port has gone bad...have to take the rechargeable battery out of the light and use the port on the battery itself....that is annoying

Not what I'd expect this is a replacement that I just recieved this week and it is already having issues with the switch. My first one was less than one month old before it started doing the same thing until it finally got to where it would not turn off only by removing the battery pack. It generates a fair amount of heat when used for extended periods of two hours or more and using it for three to four times a week it too has begun to fail granted I've used the second one more than the first one so I'd assume that's why it's only been a week for it to start acting up as far as turning off and on. The light output is bright and a good flood pattern for working without having to chase the light with your head or having to keep adjusting it. Coast did warranty the first one without a problem and I'm going to send this one back hopefully they can have research figure out what is happening and make proper changes to fix the problem not just send out the same product with the same issues not being resolved.
