Cobra - RAD 700i Radar Detector, works with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto - Black

I'm still on the fence about this radar detector. I have only had it for a short time now and i'm not exactly sure that it works well. I am still getting used to the features and the app that comes with the software. The suction come feature for the windshield works really well.

I have been completely satisfied (even impressed) with the performance of my new Cobra Rad 700i. It does everything that is claimed for it and does it all well. It is very user-friendly and works well with the Drive Smarter APP, which is also very intuitive and easy to use. The item was shipped immediately and actually arrived the very next day, which is quite rare here in rural GA. I will certainly look to Cobra the next time I have any electronic needs that they can help with.

For the coverage of radar detector and OBDII Connector easy connection and it all works and don't forget the price I feel was a great price for all this dector does. It works so well this is my 2nd RAD 700i for my other vehicle. Usually I don't give reviews but I felt this detector was worth a review. Having bought other radar detectors this one works very well.

Haven't had a detector in years, but recently bought this one. Works great. Picks up signals early. I've only had it a week, so my opinion may change. Really, though, the one big disappointment with the 700i is that there is no “smart” power cable available for it with a mute button. It's a real aggravation. In order to mute, you have to reach up to the actual unit and press the button. Not sure why Cobra doesn't offer that for this model.

The rules of the road are simple, that is until you are stopped for not being aware. This 700i is a good awareness tool. As a long-term radar detector user of uniden R1 line I can attest this unit a welcomed change. You will not get those false reads with annoying constant reminders, is a Honda or Chrysler or is it in CB radio speak, a Bear? Soo impressed was I that I purchased one for all my cars. I'll be buying more as gifts. Get one try it you'll see!

I'm still skeptical about it because I have passed several cops pulled off on the side of the road hid. Obviously they are speed trapping but the radar detector doesn't go off. It does pick up the police too though because I have met the police on the highway and it wil go off. I just can't give it my 100% trust yet. But I'm hoping that that will change for the good soon.

The radar detector works good, but the power supply doesn't work well for me. I ordered the extra cord with the type C because I do not have a 12 V charger dock at the front of my car but the USB-C power turns it off, probably about 20 to 30 minutes into a trip. I'm not sure if it's the cord or what other than that. It works good when I can have it on.

Came down the interstate and luckily didnt get stopped by the cop standing out of the car with the radar gun pointed at traffic in which my radar detector DID NOT ALERT ON! I will be returning this to the store! $250 worth of crap! it picjs up speed cameras though lol

Not going to lie, I was really hoping this would work. Until I'm doing 80 down 85 in GA at 2a and I see the state trooper looking at me through his laser gun. Whoop whoop, pull over, I got a lesson in velocity from GSP. Needless to say, not impressed. I don't expect perfection, but at least the detector should have beeped. Returning it.

The radar detector is great, I already have one I purchased from Amazon. So I know it's good. Unfortunately Cobra has some issues. They sent my order to Tennessee not California. Then it was returned for wrong address. Then they refunded me, no communication on there part and I have no idea where a Chattanooga address got into the equation. And it's been a month since I ordered. Looks like Amazon it is.
