Very pleased with this product. It does keep ice for 4 days when the prechill directions are followed. It is also very heavy, can easily approach 75 LBS with ice and drinks.

This is an awesome cooler. Seriously, my ice lasted 4.5 days in this cooler with normal open-close cycles. Highly Recommend.

My wife ordered this cooler for me for Christmas. I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews that mentioned quality control issues. I must say that I am very happy. The lid fits tightly and the cooler does an excellent job of keeping ice for days. The bottle opener is a nice touch as well.

We've used this cooler no less than 24X since Aug 2021with zero issues. Pre-cooling it over night does help to extend its ability to keep things cool, especially in AZ.

I just got back from a 1600 mile trip/3 days driving and I never needed to replenish the ice. The cooler performed the same way during my 3 day summer trip with much higher temperatures. I use it frequently in South Florida and it does the job. And the fit and finish is good.

Had I read the negative reviews here, I might not have rolled the dice on these! Have an elk hunt coming up and needed to upgrade coolers so happened to see these on Costco's website and ordered two. Both are well-constructed and look great!

I have a 12ft Sotar which limited my cooler selection in terms of width. Luckily I had already purchased one of these and it fit perfectly. It also has a lip so the cooler can sit on the rails. Only downside is the cooler can't be latched when on the raft. Which is solved with some girth-hitch nrs straps. The other mod i made is to remove the rope handles and replace them with 4ft nrs straps. This allows me to attach the cooler to some d rings on the inside of my boat. I currently run two of these coolers. One I use as a cooler, the other a dry box. They are much cheaper then a dry box and I have the option of running two coolers if needed. They've been used for two years in this setup, and have done the MF Salmon twice, Smith River and Green River + countless overnight/2-day trips in Montana/Idaho. Only quality control issue ive experienced is one rubber latch snapping for no apparent reason. Which was a bummer. I just ordered a bunch of replacements to have for any future issues.

I wish this achieved the same capacity with taller walls and smaller length/width dimensions. In my experience, floor space in the truck bed/camper floor/house/wherever is at much more of a premium than is height.

on your 55 quart hard case cooler i see a rubber seal, but not on your 165 cooler. i purchased the 165 cool yesterday and i installed a rubber seal around the outer lip . i first install the flat slip in the groove but it would not seal, so i installed on the outer lip,. the rubber seal is 1/2", tall and 3/4 " wide. i m going to place ice into it today full to see how long before all the ice is gone. without the seal your stated that its good for 7 days, .

I have had this for quite a while and I also have the RTIC 55. This works fine, but the rubber grips are so tight it is a struggle to get them to work. My poor old hands have to work and struggle and it actually hurts to get these to work.
