Cold Steel 15 Bushcraft Knife Set 2 Pack - Great for the Outdoors

My boyfriend has done a lot of research on what name brand of machetes are the best and why. He says that out of all the research that he has done that cold steel is the best by far because they forge the steel out of exact science and they stress the steel under both extreme heat and extreme cold to make sure that it can withhold under both conditions without any stress on the steel and the structure of the machete overall in itself. I could go on about what he's told me but this is what stood out to me the most.

It's a Cold Steel product, what else needs to be said? The blade steel is not a premium steel but for the price of 2 knives, you cant go wrong. The knives come in sharp but can be sharpened to razor sharpness. The included sheath is nylon with either plastic or something inside to keep the knife from poking through. The handle is great and plenty of grib for big hands as well. The knife handle is designed to mimic the bolster and keep your hand from moving forward. It is a strange edge knife with no serrations.

I was surprised at how nice these were atb the price point. Im grabbing a couple more before they increase in price or sell out.

Good beater knives. These are great for doing things that you don't want to use your more expensive knives on. It's 3Cr steel, so don't expect mondo edge holding, but they're not bad. Blades are on the thin side, but are more than capable of basic food prep' and camp knife stuff. I wouldn't baton wood with them, but I also wouldn't baton wood with most of my thinner blades.

I like the size of the knife. it works well cutting small tree limbs and yard weeds.

I should have read more reviews... the blades are silly thin - almost like a baby machete.

I was excited thinking I was getting a cold steel blade and it was a genuine cold steel blade. Just made with junk metal
