Nice reel for the money
I am using the reel on a downrigger rod. Caught a dozen lakers on it the first day out, the reel worked great. Nice drag and anti backlash. Reel is heavier than comparable size Daiwa and Shimano reels I have but is no big deal when using with a downrigger. Finish is nice, the line counter is easily read and reset. I have had good luck with a few Okuma Convector reels I have used for a few years with no trouble at all.

excellent salmon reel
I have the next size smaller reel but needed this one for enough line for leadcore, okuma is a high quality brand and these reels handle the big ones its also a sharp looking reel and you cant beat the price others sell it up to forty dollars more

Excellent reels solid construction and the power handle is a big plus when salmon fishing the drag is smooth and the reel holds more then enough line for any trolling application!

Tough, dependable, and cost effective
Although I haven't had the chance to use this reel yet. My other 12 work great. These reels are hard to beat for the cost. I've landed 150lb plus sturgeon with them. If any of mine break, I'll be looking to replace them with the same thing.

Nice Reel !
Use it for lake fishing , Kokanee Killer. Nice and smooth . Wish it was sold as a combo.
