This is a great sleeping bag for youth. Its light weight, relatively easy to get back into the bag. My only negative is the strings at the bottom of the sleeping bag to tie it back up are permanently attached to the base of the sleeping bag. I could cut them to remove them, as i dont like the long strings being in a place where youth will be sleeping. My personal opinion and can be remedied with cutting.
I've had my Cole man sleeping bag for 25 years and is has never failed to live up to its reputation. I bought these for my kids to use during the spring/fall camping seasons and they love them.
Child is 42" tall, loves the bag. Definitely accurate rating of 50 degrees, best suited for summer or sleepover. Used outdoors in below 40 temps and was ok with additional blankets and thermals
I had my eye on these bags for a couple years before I bought them. They are now my go-to for cool-weather camping. The fabric is easy to wash in my front-load washing machine. I usually air-dry them or use the lowest heat setting on my dryer. Most of the time I'm camping in the RV during cold weather, so believe that buying these bags for tent-camping was the best possible decision. Coleman products are often more expensive than their competition, but the build-design and quality justifies the higher cost. I expect these bags will last me for many more years of outdoor adventures.
Very good quality, looks nice and is compact love this product.
The Coleman Illumi-Bug 45 Youth Sleeping Bag is a fun and functional option for kids, offering glow-in-the-dark accents that many children enjoy and adding a playful element to camping. It performs well in mild to moderate weather down to about 45 °F, though users note it is a bit slim and may feel tight for taller or broader children. Some reviewers mention the glowing effect is less impressive in daylight or under certain conditions, but overall it's considered a good value for casual youth use
These were Christmas presents for six of our grandchildren. Two of them used them immediately for two nights on grandma's floor, and continued using them as they went to the other side of the family to sleep on the floor. The "glow-in-the dark" bugs were an over-the-top addition! However, I did notice that a tag (zipper area) had pulled off after the first night's use, and I don't think that was from abuse but rather a lack of reinforcement stitching. Outside? Don't know; we will have to wait several months for 45 degree night time weather to try that.
Shipping was very fast and the bag came just in time for a snow storm so the tent could be put up in the basement for some i door fun. Seems to be well made and really like it has fasteners on the sides so the young ones can roll it up without much trouble. Only down side is the glow in the dark aspect. It isnt as good ad I hoped and would only deduct a half star for it. Kids dont care though. Its great.
This was a gift for my 4 year old grandson. It's perfect for when he does sleep overs ! He grabs his pack pack and sleeping Bach and he's off!
It was supposed to fit up to a five foot person and it did not...it was too small
