I hunted all over the place to find cotton sleeping bags, and LOVE the ones I found online at Walmart!! They are thick and cozy...and having a cotton shell, they will let you breath a lot better than having ones with a nylon shell. I got 2, one for myself, and one for my daughter, we both lost our sleeping bags, and loved the ones we had. We needed them for a couple reason, one for camping, but more important, to have as an "emergency preparedness" item... everyone should have one for each person within their household. With our cold winters, should the power fail, or any other type of emergency where one cannot enjoy the comforts of their warm bed, having a good sleeping bag is a huge plus. Not only that, but they are oversized, so there is plenty of room to move around in them too! Very pleased!! Perhaps would have liked some other color choices, but brown is fine.
this is a classic old-school sleeping bag, sometimes hard to find in this age of synthetics. cotton inside and out, it is big enough to flop around in, warm instead of slick inside, and won't slide off the bed or cot. i love this bag. the only shortcoming, in my opinion, is the sewed-on roll-up cover assistance thing. it's not a problem if you always use the bag as a right zip; but if you use it as a left zip, that big flap of cloth is right there on top, under your nose and just waiting to get in your face. i cut mine off (very carefully) and re-sewed that seam where it had been, just to make sure i wasn't weakening the basic structure of the bag. worked fine, but don't do it unless you know what you are doing. that cover supposedly helps you roll up this huge bag for storage and traveling, and it does, i guess, but now i just roll mine up and strap it. all that having been said, this is a fine piece of equipment at a very reasonable price.
I would recommend shopping Walmart online to everyone. The items were delivered on the date given. The product was exactly as stated. The prices are unbeatable. The free shipping was the slam dunk. No reason to buy from anyone else. Five out of five stars
I bought this for a homeless women who has been squatting along the property line of a Roman Catholic Church. She loves her sleeping bag. It has been keeping her warm, especially now that the temperatures are getting into the low 40s. It is a very good investment for oneself, as well as for someone who has to sleep outdoors in temperatures just above and below freezing.
The same sleeping bag my grandfather had. Searched for many years to find it. Its better than i remember. Keeps you warm and is thick so it's very comfortable as well. Easy to roll up too. Would definitely recommend this product. Shipping was faster than promised.
Met our needs. First slept each in our own. Lots of room, not confining, then we put them together. Bigger than a queen size bed. Zippers work great from inside or out. Definitely glad I picked this over a more expensive bag.
needed the bags from the 60's to use in our RV rather than the newer ones with the polyester outside that SLIDE...this fits the bill....hard to find these now days...
Looking forward to getting out with these sleeping bags. They are so comfortable we slept in them on the bed for a few nights after we got them.
Wish it did not have the "flap" of fabric sewn to it that kind of serves as a cover when it's rolled up. The photo does not show it. I expect we will cut it off, but wonder what it will look like?
It is a pretty comfortable sleeping bag. I haven't used it for camping, just tried it out in my home to check it out and see what I thought. The zippers are kind of hard to use if you zip them down very far. I don't care too much for the self contained storage bag. It is kind of hard to tie and get good and tight, but maybe I will get used to it. Overall, I would say it is a decent sleeping bag from my initial inspection.
