We have been traveling full-time now for almost five years. We have always used a cooler, and ice. Constantly having to run into the nearest town to get ice. Our Solar got upgraded so we treated ourselves to the Coleman iceless cooler for Christmas. We couldn't be happier. This cooler has been amazing. We don't have to run into town every two days anymore. It has kept everything we have put in it. Thank you Coleman this is perfect for us ❤️
I have been using this thermoelectric cooler by what's on picnics and weekend outings and it's been very convenient, it starts cooling quickly as you plug it in.It keeps the drinks and food without needing the ice. And there is basically no sound or noise out of this product and it was so easy to set up and didn't require any thing else !
We have only had this for a few weeks and love it. At least going to the store for frozen items they stay frozen. We used a regular cooler before, but things didn't stay all that cool, but with this we don't have any problems. We do intend to use it when we travel and not have any worries about it. Would recommend this to anyone who travels or just needs a little more cooler space for the holidays.
This cooler does everything expected !! Had one years ago for my sailboat so I still had AC/DC unit (motor failed on last one after 10 years but kids continued to use as a cooler). Using this one in the house as "frig" for wife who is confined to a recliner to heal a broken foot. Allows her to have lots of provisions on hand. Previous unit on sailboat allowed fresh meat at the end of a weeks adventure with only battery power (extended by ice packs until melted, aprox 3 days). Bought this instead of mini fridge since it will dual purpose to pontoon boat, carport, and car on extended trips (lots easier than managing cooler with ice !!).
Been looking for one of these for a while and I should have purchased it when Walmart had it priced at $88. Since then the price has increased $10 after a few years, but I can't complain. I taken this every where I go. From work to the weekend trips even when traveling on an airline as a checked item. It keeps everything cool for a day or two when not plugged in at room temperature. The lowest I've registered the temperature was 30 degrees.
I use it year-round in the back of my Subaru Outback, lying flat with the cover on top, plugged into the electric plug there. It keeps things cool in the summer and keeps from freezing in the winter. It,of course, is only powered when the car is running, so things do warm up a bit over-night, though not a lot.
Working well at first use. 120V adapter for non-vehicle use was a problem with the former unit that I owned. Was finicky to connect and finally 'died' at very young age! This one is working well from the get-go, so far. Knock wood. 12V connection was never a problem. The cooler itself isn't a Cadillac of coolers, but solid enough and competent at what it does, and at a decent enough price.
We have had two of these over the past 20+ years and they work great for going on a trip. The only problem with this model is that it comes with the power cord for the car but in the past there was always a converter cord so that you could also use it with regular outlets. Now you have to purchase another $20 converter cord. It seems to be as cold or colder than my fridge. It also used to heat or refrigerate and this model only refrigerates. We never found we needed the heating option anyway. It's a great product!
Using it standing up or on its side, there's plenty of room for all your essentials to stay cold during the drive and at your destination for your entire trip. The motor is not loud and no need to keep buying ice every other day. You really need to get the adapter too so that you can plug it in when you get to your destination, as it only comes with the cable to connect to your 12V car plug. The unique thing about this cooler is that you can change the door to open it from the other direction if you want it to. The only thing lacking is the ability to carry it easily when it is in the standing up position. The handgrips it has are for carrying it in the side position. Really a must-have to compliment your essentials for camping, RVing, boating, etc.
This cooler freezes over and stops cooling after about 12 hours of use. This is a fact that was not stated in the description of the product. Upon unpacking and reading the instructions, it was stated that it should only be run for short periods of time. I would not have ordered if this had been stated in the online description. You can get much more refrigeration time out of a regular cooler with ice replaced as it melts. I will be returning it.
