I was pleasantly surprised by how quick this cool little bike is. The kids love it just as much as I do! Shipped fast right to my doorstep with simple, minimal assembly to get it going right out of the box. I definitely recommend picking one of these up, so much fun!
So far I've bought 2 of these. Now to be fair these are great Bikes for the price. You do have to know a little about working on them though. The quality control on these seems to be lacking. Out of the box look everything over. I tuned the carbs, adjusted the brake and throttle cable, tire pressures should be at 5psi, make sure the carb drain plug is tight, remove any excess engine oil and run a proper engine break in oil for the 1st hour of use. Then drain and fill with full synthetic 10w30 4 stroke oil, not regular car oil. Remove the chain cover and oil the clutch with a few drops of engine oil. Lastly make sure the chain is tensioned properly. If you do not check all of these things you are asking for problems. And it is wise to oil the chain and clutch at least weekly. Once all of this is done have fun. They are a ton of fun for the money. I'm about to order 2 more so each of my kids has their own.
Bought the bike a couple of weeks ago, it arrived a day late, in a ripped up box, and missing a screw to the handle bars. After getting it together and starting to ride, all that was forgottened; seems like it's gonna be an enjoyable product for the family...adults and kids.
I was disappointed the box came damaged. A few of the incased items were broken or dented even in the metal reinforced crate. I had bought one prior 2 years ago that was burnt in a fire in my garage my son loved. I guess, I expected to get the same type of product repo. I had to work on the throttle and choke to get it started and have it stay running. Finally it worked and he had a good time.
I ordered this thinking packed in a metal cage it wouldn't be damaged. The case around the pull cord was smashed without damage to then box meaning it was smashed before shipping. I fixed it myself but could have easily been shipped in good condition.
Have had it for 4 months and have had to replace or fix so many things. Our neighbor bought the same exact one for their son and he's unable to ride it because so many things are broke on it also. I'm grateful my husband is mechanically inclined, but I'm hesitant to put anymore money in this piece of junk!
After finally receiving the mini bike and assembling I found the brake line and throttle were broke during packaging had to order new ones this was a gift for sons birthday he got to ride not long before the rear tire locked up due to poor assembly from factory
The thing came jacked up. Rear sprocket and clutch sprocket dont line up. Chain pops off to the point where its unridable. And the messed up part is that theres no way to adjust it. Only a simple tensioner on the motor mount which does nothing. Maybe I just got a defective one. But this one is junk. Maybe Walmart will help me out with a return.
I assembled the bike, filled up with fluids then when my 12 year old son went for a test drive the bike locked up. I hated to take apart cause I'm not sure about the warranty but the chain was almost off the sprocket. When I repaired the chain problem I noticed the bike would not move when running. Upon further inspection I noticed the crankshaft was busted.
I needed 2 for my kids for Christmas so I ordered them early since I found about them being hit and miss in the reviews. Of the 2, one was great and the other had a recoil issue. Basically the rope wouldnt recoil when pulled. I contacted the company to try and get a new one sent to me. Instead, they wanted me to drive an hour to a service center to get it fixed. I didn't want to play that game so I returned it for another one. I got that one this evening. It was worse than the 1st! I didnt even take it out of the box. I cut windows in the box where I could reach the pull start, get stuff away from the exhaust and add oil and gas. I never assembled it. Didn't need to either. I cranked it up and tilted it to the right just a little bit and the recoil started making a screeching noise. Its going back too and I already have one ordered elsewhere (not a Coleman). Im a little bit concerned about the longevity of the one that seems ok. I figure if the motor goes out then I will do a Predator swap. I'm pretty upset with myself that I didn't trust the reviews. Maybe you'll do better than I did.
