Coleman Skydome XL 8-Person Camp Tent with LED Lighting

Nice Tent! My family of 4 used this for a weekend and wound up in a torrential rain storm! This tent stayed dry for the bulk of it, about 10 hrs into severe rains we did start to have some small leaks, particularly where the air mattress was pushed up against the side. Considering the amount of rain though I was impressed we made it through the night!

Longtime Coleman lover; friends all joke Coleman should contact me to test out their gear because I always bring: my Coleman trailhead II cot, cooler, pop up, air mattress, air mattress pump, two burner stove, with a couple of Coleman chairs and a couple of Coleman sleeping bags. So needless to say I was excited to test this tent out, being that I was now camping for two, rather than just solo. This tent spaciously fit my queen size Coleman mattress and trailhead II cot in the corner (used the cot as a bench or storage space on the far right and mattress in far left of tent.) The mattress was perfect for me and my girlfriend with the awesome built in LED light. Super romantic. Each light pack takes three AA batteries and I love that with my air mattress pushed up to the left, I could easily lean up and turn of the light switches, given the placement of the battery pack pouch holders for the lights. The tent was spacious and accommodating. So many mesh pockets for storage and organization. Hanging mesh net pouch at zenith or inside tent is not good for heavier items as they tend to fall out. The Set up took three tries to master. Always recommend doing a test set up at home before going camping. I will say: deconstructing the tent was a learning curve, being that the online community and in-bag instructions don’t really have much data on how to breakdown the tent. I did have an awesome lightbulb moment while breaking the tent down for the 3rd time while leaving the site: The tent poles are built into the fabric of the tent, when deconstructing the tent, I noticed these red Velcro straps perfectly lined up with each set of black and grey poles on each side of tent. Make sure to neatly fold your tent poles and then use bright red Velcro straps to secure them before rolling up your tent. I found that keeping the rain fly inside the tent and then deconstructing/rolling it up was most efficient. This here is a solid family tent for your hot summer nights or even your colder ones. I took it to the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas and it was just fine in 30 degree nights weather. Just make sure to bring your appropriate Coleman sleeping bags for whatever weather you are going to experience. I give this tent 4/5 stars. I feel it should deserve 4.5/5 but it’s not an option. The .5 reduction is solely for the lack of deconstruction advice online and built into the bag. The instructions inside were unfortunately not the clearest and seemed vague for deconstruction. Awesome product and awesome brand. I ain’t goin nowhere without my Coleman gear. Signed: - a lifelong friend and customer. I’ll see y’all out at the campsites and trails!!!

Easy to set up, and the lighting is a nice touch. There’s a ton of room inside. It does get moved around in the wind but it’s a light weight tent so no surprise there.

The tent has a really spacious design and comfortably fits multiple people without feeling cramped. The setup is quick and easy, which is great for beginners. The built in lighting is a nice feature for nighttime use, and the overall build feels durable. It's a bit heavy to carry, but the space and features make up for it.

Very good and easy to transport everywhere with a good capacity for everyone to feel comfortable and in a happy environment also a magnificent material and easy to clean and maintain

This is perfect for a family. My family of 5 plus our dog fit very comfortably. My partner and I sleep in a a teen size mattress and my three kids sleep in a king size air mattress. We bring my dogs bed for our large dog. Before we go camping I spray all the seams with a water proofing agent so it doesn't leak when it rains. We live in the pacific north west so it is almost a guarantee it will rain at least once. We stay dry even in an all night downpour. We have had this tent for over 10 years and all of the zippers are still in working order. The kids have outgrown sleeping in a tent with us and have their own Coleman skydome 8 person tent for themselves.

This Coleman tent is a nice Roomy tent that sets up easily, great for family adventures. We took it camping with a car. Not carrying or backpacking. Perfect for what we were looking for

Huge tent. Easy setup. Fits lots of people. Classic tent material but built strong. Used this tent a few times when all of my friends would go camping.

I recommend this tent for people who have larger families. My parents bought this tent-about a year ago and they absolutely love it. We have started using it when we go camping.

The fabric next to the zipper ripped towards the end of our first use. It was spacious, up until it ripped I liked it. It's not the easiest to put together and obviously fabric is less than durable, wasted money.
