Coleman Zephyr Cup Holder Fan with BatteryLock, Black and Red

The build is very sturdy and the airflow is fine for a personal fan. The sound is so loud that it is not worth it. I will be returning this product.

Coleman makes great products. I have relied on them for many years. But what were they thinking with this? Poor design and confusing way to install batteries. Tried unscrewing the "battery compartment" and plastic pieces cracked into many pieces. Was this a science project for an intern? Two thumbs down on this Coleman item.

I was pretty excited about this product initially. Added batteries but it doesn't even turn on. Perhaps it is operator error as the battery + and - signs were at the bottom of the compartment and I'm not sure I did it right. Hopefully I can get my money back when I return it.

Super disappointed with this fan. The noise pitch level is annoying and loud. I believe the fan blade pitch and front motor location to be wrong. You can only feel the air flow from the very edges of the housing within 1.5 feet away indoors. The flow can't even move my hair. If you're outside with this you can't feel the breeze at all. I've got a better breeze from someone walking past me than from this fan. Adding a picture of the flow on high struggling to move a piece of copy paper directly in front of it. The quality (even though it's all plastic) of the housing seems okay. Since it's not returnable where I bought it from I tested the quality by pushing it off the table into the dirt and rocks several times. Didn't break. I will be moding this unit (because it's not returnable) with a different fan motor and blade. Perhaps a high pitch one that will focus the air stream to a point not a wide area. Also in reverse the flow direction out the back as it should have been and use the unit backwards. The one thing I believe this unit has going for it is the battery lock system. Safe storage for months till the next use camping use without ghost drain or cell leakage because it takes so many batteries I bought cheap cells is a major bonus. Great idea from Colman.
