Colgate Total Toothpaste, Deep Clean, 5.1 ounce - Paste

it appears that this product is about to be discontinued. I've had excellent dental visits since using so I'm not pleased it will disappear.

Toothpaste is item that falls under what was in your house hold as a child that sticks with you through adulthood. You then tend to mix things up and I found my way to Cologate Deep Clean which I really like. Overall great product that consistently gets the job done. What can I say... toothpaste is a personal reference. Try it you may like it.

You can't go wrong with this toothpaste. It's affordable and really keeps your teeth clean and gums healthy. My husband and I both use it and our dental hygienist says whatever we are using is working great. Has a nice minty taste.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Colgate Deep Clean Toothpaste I feel does what it says it will do. The cleanig that it has done to my teeth have been by far the best out of all the other toothpaste that claim to clean, rebuild enamile and whiten teeth. My teeth have lightened up I'd say 2 shades in the 3 weeks I have been using it. I would recommend this product to everybody!!!

Used the Colgate Total Freshening toothpaste for many years and loved it! Then bought 2 tubes of this new version. Struggled to finish one tube, then threw the other in the bin. Found the paste tasted like baking soda and left a horrible, dry residue. Managed to find one shop with the original product, and bought all 12 tubes they had! Now trying to find something to use when they run out. Will try other brands but very disappointed that a perfectly good product has been discontinued in favour of this thoroughly nasty version. Who on earth took part in consumer trials that approved this stuff?

Been using Colgate most of my life. Picked up the new 'SF' formula at the store. My mouth is now covered in blisters. Would love to be able to find the ingredients to the old brand so I can find out what I might be allergic to. I'm sad I will have to change brands after all these years!

I have been using Colgate brand toothpaste for over 20 years. I would not have minded if the new formulation was the same foamy toothpaste I liked in the old formulation. It is now watery and so slimy in fact that it slid off my toothbrush and onto my sink before I could put the toothbrush in my mouth. Looking at the ingredients, water is the first ingredient on the list for the "Inactive Ingredients" so it being watery and slimy makes total sense. The only reason for the change I could think of is that it is now CHEAPER to make for Colgate. Same thing happened to Crest Toothpaste when they changed the formulation which is also now horrible. I am now on the hunt for new toothpaste that is similar to Colgate's old formula. I am thinking of trying different brands like AquaFresh. I will be hunting now.

I have used Colgate Total Advanced Deep Clean for over a decade now, and cannot believe the manufacturer has changed it to this dross. The silica microparticles have been removed. The flavour is grotesque, having gone from a good strong peppermint to what I can only describe as disinfectant (probably cheap and nasty wintergreen). There's also a weird aftertaste. My mouth feels tingly after using it, instead of clean, as if I'd been sucking a mentholated candy. I've also read terrible things about stannous fluoride and just cannot fathom why Colgate have changed over to use it in their products. I now have to go out and buy all the old Colgate Total Advanced Deep Clean I can find and buy trial sizes of other brands to see which one my family likes best now the perfect toothpaste is no longer available.
