This is a nice set of combs for blending wool colors evenly When I blend colors I usually only need smaller batches as I do smaller pieces and portraits.

There is nothing wrong with this item. Except for its size and too thin a metal for the bristles. These Carders are literally around 2, 1/2 inches wide by 1, 7/8th inch long with a handle that is 4 inches at its longest and 3 1/2 inches at is lowest because the handles are slanted with the handles being 5/8th inch thick. It was good that they framed the ends of the carders with metal. Though, with pretty thin and long weak metal bristles. If used it may be difficult unless the fiber were already carded/smoothed out and untangled. Has a higher chance of breaking or not lasting long because of the thin bristles. For $16 that is asking a bit too much. You'll have better luck using a dog hair brush or a human hair brush for smoothing hair. My hands are large with piano like fingers. This would be very tricky for me to use without getting lots of cramped hands. Sorry.
