I served the Colorado Corned Beef on March 17th St Patrick's Day %26 my guest could not say enough about the taste, color, not salty, or tough. I plan on buying a couple more to throw into my freezer for future awesome meals. I do not eat enough protein %26 the amount of protein in the Colorado Corned Beef was my %231 reason to purchase this Corned Beef, the seasoning could not have been any better. I always have Corned Beef leftovers for lunch, snack w/Ritz Crackers %26 there was nothing leftover for my next day to enjoy. I sent my daughter that afternoon to go back to Walmart to pickup another Colorado Corned Beef to cook so I could enjoy leftovers for the next few days. Thank You Walmart for offering one of the very best Corned Beef product in your Walmart Meat department.
Love this brand ! It comes with the seasoning packet already included so very easy to throw in the crockpot add the seasoning packet, add water, add your vegetables and it's ready to go. In hours you'll have a delicious meal. Super easy, super tasty, super value.
Every March 17th, the entire country suddenly discovers their Irish roots. Green beer flows, everyone's a leprechaun, and corned beef flies off the shelves. I get it. I also actually have the Scottish, Irish, and Welsh ancestry to back it up, so when I say I take Saint Patrick's Day corned beef seriously, I mean it. I grabbed two of these last minute to feed a family of six and pulled off a corned beef and cabbage dinner that had zero complaints at the table. That's the real review right there. Colorado Premium's brisket flat was well trimmed, cooked up beautifully, and delivered that classic corned beef flavor that makes the whole house smell like you know what you're doing in the kitchen. The price point is fair for the quality you're getting. Two briskets to feed six people without breaking the bank is exactly what you want when you're feeding a crowd on a holiday that already has you buying cabbage, potatoes, and probably some Guinness. Sláinte. This one's worth keeping on the list beyond March.
“I tried the flat corned beef brisket and I'm not a fan. This cut definitely needs a different cooking plan compared to other styles, otherwise it turns out tough no matter what you do. For the price, I expected something more forgiving and easier to work with. It's quite expensive for a result that doesn't match the cost
Be aware that a $13 dollar brisket will shrink down to half of it's size and I had to add extra seasoning. But it did produce a wonderful taste. Nothing is cheap anymore but this is good for just one person if you like leftovers... I do. I'm not sure of the math but whatever the price per pound is you have to understand that it will shrink down to half and then there's the fat but not a lot of it in my package. If you're feeding a family and do not expect leftovers you will have to buy a $26 or more package.
This was the worst corn beef I've ever cooked. I was first met with no seasoning packet.im aware I can make my own but I don't usually have pickling spice. There was no fat cap or very little, meat cooked according to the package was very stringy and dry. when I sliced it(flat cut) there was 1 inch thick stripe of fat that was completely through the entire middle. This brand was expensive but only one available. Very disappointing.
Inedible… had to throw out the whole crockpot. The smell was off, tasted like someone dumped chemicals in it. I'm guessing it's contaminated.
Package states 2.48lbs after cooking, it shrinks to a maybe 1lb. Dont plan on feeding more than 2 with 1 package.
Slimy, mushy, water filled, and tastes terrible! I have eaten corned beef over my 80 years, and could not eat this after cooking. If you like good corned beef this is a waste of money for you. — thus the 22% bad reviews! Don't know how this product got onto Walmart meats!
I'm a chef 35 years and it's the worst corn beef I've ever ever cooked in my life. It was horrible Walmart supposed to carry Grobel's corned beef. That's what they advertise and then now here this Denver stuff he's garbage go back to global that's best corn beef if you can get thank you Curtis
