Cooked mine in enamel pot simmering on stovetop added one chicken bullion cube and all the spices that came with it, three hours. Removed and skimmed off fat. Added Cabbage %26 onion to broth and simmered till soft. Added to corn beef It was the best I have ever cooked for St Patrick's Day. Definitely will purchase again
Missed out for St. Patrick's Day but the convenience day after this power house protein corned meat went on sale! Stocked up perfect size that came with seasoning packet for later dates this year. Our favorite for a great price!
I use the point cut for my cornned beef sandwitches as the fat content adds tons of extra flavor to Rubens and cornned beef hash for breakfast dishes!!!
Very good shrimp so much better than the farmed shrimp from Third World countries quite frankly that kind of shrimp is disgusting so shrimp from Louisiana wild cut hard to be much better
this corned beef had an unusual amount of fat, it was mostly fat thick fat cap and throughout meat, so it was hard to cut it out. after it cooked i was left with less than 1 pound meat outa a 3 pound brisket. i was very disappointed, im glad i didnt invite anyone over to share it for St. Patricks Day
Very salty and fatty. The overall taste was good, but it just destroyed the cabbage and potatoes in the pot with sodium. I would suggest boiling the meat for a few minutes to get a little of the salt out of it. That method really works well for corned beef brisket if it is overwhelmed with sodium...
No, I would not recommend this to anyone. Actually, I should get a refund as it was thrown away! I pressure cooked it for 2 hours and it was still like shoe leather! Unable to eat it! I buy them every year so this is the first bad one I've ever gotten
Tbe meat was nicely packaged and looked so good. when I opened to cook it I was amazed to see how much fat covered the bottom. i jad to carve a long time to remove it. put it in crockpot with spices and let it cook 7 hrs. it was still not really tender. For 27.00 I expected a much better corned beef. Taste was good, but meat, not tender.
What a waste of $40. I went to pull the packages out off of my freezer and the packages were blown up like puffer fishes. I was craving them at that time. Hopefully, i can still return them because we haven't done so yet.
This was the worst Corned Beef We had ever had. More than half of the meat was fat and there was so much gristle fat throughout the entire meat it made it difficult to chew. And because of this there was no real enjoyment in eating.
