I was deciding between this one and the north face version and decided on this on because it looks much warmer and fuzzy. I couldn't be more happy with it. It's so warm and fits just right. I was worried that the XS wouldn't be small enough bc I'm 5'2 and only 100lbs but it's great. I got it for work but I love it so much I'm wearing it everywhere I go. Love that I can take off the top layer when I'm at work and only need the fuzzy coat.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this jacket looking for versatility. With this jacket comes at least three potential opportunities: A warm fleece for fall weather, a waterproof rain coat shell for those way too wet days and combining the two for an incredibly warm and rigorous jacket. I'm incredibly happy with the purchase, and while I have not been able to wear it through the winter months just yet, I can tell it's quality and warmth from the get go. The jacket ran true to size, with a number of adjustable features I couldn't be happier or warmer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this coat a bit larger than I usually would so it wouldn't be tight if I wore heavy sweaters beneath. The sleeves are a bit long, but I don't mind. It's comfortable, and the inner fleece is so soft! The only downside would be that because the fleece is removeable, it's a bit of a struggle to take off the coat. Maybe I'll get better at it the more I use the coat.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my Bugaboo from 1997 that had just now worn out. The quality is amazing on Columbia products! The body of the coat is generous and even as an XL wearer I can still wear thicker shirts comfortably under the coat. Very warm!! Even in a wind chill of below 32 this past weekend, I was totally comfortable. The only thing I'd change is to get rid of the velcro outer closure and bring back the snaps. As a shorter lady, I don't always like to fully zip the whole coat. The velcro opens when I move around if I partially close the coat with it. Also, the inner sleeves should go back to being a smooth material, the fuzzy lining makes it very difficult to pull the sleeve over a long sleeve shirt- it sticks! Overall, I'm happy with the coat, its a flattering fit, and the dark purple is an attractive color.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The coat is everything it was advertised it would be. It's light weight, yet perfectly warm and cuddlelly. In my line of work, I'm outside in all kinds of weather and it functions as I would expect and as advertised. I like it so much, that I bought it's matching gloves. When you are standing out in the cold, you couldn't want anything better. I tried on the coat at a sporting goods store and found that an XL was just right for layering, i.e. sweatshirt, etc. I'm an average size person and I like a little room.
I received this coat today in the Stone Green, which I purchased the color because I thought it would go with everything. However, the fleece on line looks brown, which I really liked but the one I received is more olive, almost the same color as the shell. I would like a little more room in the shoulders but that is just my build and it's not uncomfortable. With that said I do really like this coat and it's my third bugaboo. I purchased the XXL.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited about this coat. I am 5'3 and weigh 123 pounds. I first ordered a small. It was just too big. I returned it for an extra small. It was still just too big in weird ways - the part I really disliked was that the arms were super big around the shoulders/biceps. Just too much material there. The sleeves were also just a tad longer than they needed to be. It's a shame. The green ivy color was gorgeous, and it was extremely warm. Sadly I am returning the X small as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is so close to perfect, but I consider this issue a primary design flaw. Columbia, SO many people use these jackets for sledding, skiing, snowboarding. Put a third pocket on the OUTSIDE of the jacket near the chest! The fact that, to keep my phone safe when I'm skiing, I need to unzip the jacket AND unzip the FLEECE just to access that pocket is insane. If you fix it I will absolutely buy a new one! I would recommend it to everyone I know! But right now? It's an enormous design flaw and it makes me wish I bought a North Face. Literally JUST FOR THAT POCKET
Got this jacket for post baby belly, fit is good. The only problem is, just as a shell, the silver lining seems to keep cold at in rather than help insulate; breeze blows and your cold! Also this is the THIRD Columbia coat in recent years that's had a crappy zipper. It's not quiet broken but it's well in its way. It's over the return period so I'm kinda suck.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a merchandise credit from my last jacket I LOVED! Tried to order a similiar one. Not at all the same jacket. 1. Jacket is not warm at all. And I live in Arizona!! 2. The jacket is too small in the neck! I couldn't zip it up. 3. The fleece liner is subpar and the I didn't notice that the cuffs were loose and very thin. The cold air goes right up them! I would not recommend this jacket in any weather. Even with Arizona having the mildest weather in the nation. Hoping to get my credit back!
