Found this item at other places and the price was at least 30% higher plus shipping. I'm not usually a serious shopper but wanted to be careful with a purchase this big. It's now in the kids bedroom and they love it. Took around 3 hours to assemble and there was a part missing but it was sent to us very quickly.
did everyone commenting really spend this much money?? me and my so got this same exact bunkbed with a tru dle for 200 dollars at bjs............. i would never spend over a thousand. this is crazy.
WE are very happy with the bunk beds we ordered. The craftsmanship and overall product exceeded our expectations. Thank you for providing exactly what we were hoping for!!
This bunk bed is beautiful and sturdy. We have received so many compliments! Also, it was easy to put together--my husband did it by himself in under 2 hours.
My Daughter's Love It. When I told them I purchased Bunk beds, they laughed and said 'we are teenagers'. When the bunk beds arrived they were amazed how beautiful and spacious the room was.
The bunk bed is excellent quality. it feels safe and secure for my children. Came in multiple boxes….wasn't to hard to put together with 2 people.
We purchased this bunked in 2009 and it is still going strong! The quality is decent, though I do wish the top side rails were stronger. Maybe they have fixed that. We chose this bed because it's quality was great for the price and it was less than $1000. Other bunk beds we considered were twin/full and more than this one. We did not order the drawers as they were not on railings so sliding would occur. I do regret not purchasing the trundle... We have moved the bed from FL to CA and it...assembly/disassembly was as easy this time as it was the first. The bottom bunk has adequate headroom and does not feel suffocating. My son has a clip desk lamp underneath so he can read at night. Sometimes we even have a string of rope lights laced through the upper slats just for fun. Some things to consider...We do not use the top bunk on a daily basis. It is a pain in the butt to make the top bunk bed! I guess I should've known that, but it's something to consider if it is going against a wall and will be used daily. The posts prevent this bed from being flush on the wall which means books, toys, clothes, etc all can slide down under the bed. Once a month we have our son slither under the bed to fetch all these ""lost treasures"". That would be a pain if you had to pull out the trundle or drawers. We love the option of having two beds, but we have only used it as a bunk bed. It is great when guests come because we put the kids in this room and give the adults my daughter's bed. We also had issues with receiving a broken ladder, but that was quickly rectified by Hayneedle. It was delivered by a freight truck so be prepared for unexpected delivery times and unloading it yourself (again, unless this has been rectified). Overall, we have been very happy with this purchase and whole-heartedly recommend it 5 1/2 years later.
So happy with this purchase, it's durable and looks great in my kids room!
After two years the bed has two cracks, both on legs that go to the top bunk . My 95lb teen daughter has been up there, so that should not be the cause. Also a few screw areas have cracked, between the screw and the finish, causing the finish to chip off in that area. They are beautiful bumks, very nice looking but disappointed since they were not inexpensive. The drawers are HUGE, roll easily and hold a lot of clothes.
Ordered bed new (white, double over double, with no drawers under) Owned for approx 14 months. Top bunk sleeper is approx 100lbs, and has single top mattress (no box spring) that weighs approx 65lbs. This bed has major structural defects that Atlantic furniture acknowledges. Hayneedle did not make this bed, not their fault/problem. The side rails have a joined rail (slat rail) that supports the spanning support slats. The slats keep the top bunk from failing and crushing the kid that is sleeping on bottom bunk. In short here is why this is a bad buy. The slat rails are not fixed to the side rails properly and loosen or shear off completely, thus dropping the upper bed and occupant onto the bed below ( I caught this issue before any injury, and Atlantic Furniture, replaced defect with same defective parts). The cross support members (slats) are as wide as the mattress and all finger joined 1 foot pieces wood. These crack at the finger joint and eventually break. The buyer has 1 year from order to get replacement parts at only ""cost of shipping"" unless you get a cool agent on the other side of your email coorispondance (no phone customer support) that will waive the ship fees. Hayneedle has many beds to choose from. If you care about your children that will use this bed, DO NOT BUY THIS BED, THEY CAN, and eventually Will BE CRUSHED.
